A rare Friday off from the real job has allowed a good look into a nice slate of college games today. However, a word of caution as a 2-3 night last night has continued a tough slide for me.

Friday.......Early Games
----------------------------------------------

1)Davidson(-2)
2)William & Mary(+2)
3)North Texas(-2)

More later.........

with the Citadel on back to back days here I also had a lean towards Davidson but this line movement has me a bit concerned
as Davidson now at a (PK), any thoughts about the money coming in on Citadel?

The line movement doesn't really concern me, as Davidson now only needs to win straight up. Citadel has a miserable conf tourney record, something like 9-50 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I think they got what they really came here for already, and that's to not lose the 1st game. Davidson certainly is a better team than VMI.

GLFellas, go Wildcats.:D

my guess is lemming effect based on earlier citadel win, which is pretty meaningless at this stage. worries me not.

thanks for the replies guys
as far as their tourney record I would say when was the last time The Citadel had 17 wins in a season? Those stats don't fairly assess this years team.
I believe I've talked myself out of a play on Davidson and will pass. Good luck to you guys I hope it cashes for you.

Mabye I am the only defender of Citadel here but past performance is not indicative of future results.
"The team of the past is not the team of the present"
Look a little harder at this game and the matchups. It may be a no play for you but I am large and in charge on Citadel.

:D Thanks for the Pick line.

past performance is not necessarily a precise indicator of present performance but does give some indication of how effective a team's post-season preparation is. more important to me is that citadel is in unfamiliar territory in second consecutive game and leading scorer had so many minutes last night.

Wow, I come back from a couple of hours of errands and I have 9 replies to my post. That's unheard of in these here parts!

As far as line movement, I would rather a line move against me than with me (anti-lemming so to speak), so the late movement towards Citadel doesn't upset me at all, except for the 2 points that I had to lay.

I just felt that Davidson has the much better defence.......defensive FG% of 39.0% to 42.4% for Citadel......and they have been a hotter side lately........6-4 ATS in last 10 vs 3-6-1 ATS last 10 for C.

Yes, Loophole, let's get them all today!!!

Good luck to everyone!

Adding Two Late Afternoon Games
----------------------------------------------

4)Towson State(+4) at 4:00 PM Est
5)Austin Peay(+7.5) at 6:00 PM Est

In the Towson State/Hofstra match-up, I see basically a saw off in the key stats when looking YTD AND at the last 5 games, BUT, Hofstra comes in losers S/U of their last 8 straight, including 3 as a favourite.

Towson has won their last 2 games, both of them on the road, and 5 of their last 7, and are a crisp 7-3 ATS in their last 10.

I'll take the hotter team getting points here.

In the Austin Peay/Tennessee Tech match-up, yes, Tech has better key numbers in 3 of the 4 categories I look at, but the single most important one for me is defensvie FG%, and these two teams are tied at 43.2% YTD.

If we just look at the last 5 games for both teams, Austin Peay is actually doing better in both offensive FG%.....47.3% to 46.6%....and in defensive FG%.....39.2% to 41.2%.

And very simply, they are not intimidated by this team...........they know they can play with them after taking them to double OT two weeks ago right on Tennssee Tech's home court.

One last factor I picked out.......This is Austin Peay's 5th game this year on a neutral court while it will be the first for Tech. Don't overlook the difference that will make.

Good luck.

Back later with night games........

2-1 on Early Finals

Adding Early Evening Games
-----------------------------------------------

6)Bradley(+1)

Bradley has better numbers in my key categories both YTD and last 5 than Indiana State.

7)Dartmouth(+12)

This falls into my "Just too many points" category. Brown's scoring differential is just +2.7 pts and they are 1-8 ATS the last 9 games. Dartmouth is actually better in Defensive FG% at 44.7% to 45.4% and Dartmouth is a better road team(5-7) than home team(3-9).

Looking at the late games now....back later....

2-2 on Finals so far and getting more than a little fed up with the win one/lose one rotation.
