Light schedule of games tonight, nothing I can recommend to you as a solid investment. I've had a good run this week, I'm saving my money for next Friday when the Ivy conference games begin!

PASS

Unknowncomic -- the game I've got circled on Saturday is Harvard at Dartmouth. I've already written this game up I'm just waiting for the line to come out and hopefully it meets my expectations. Dartmouth lost the first match-up between these two teams 70-53 on 12/15. Harvard -8.5 was my recommended pick that day. That was my first Ivy game I posted at MJs and I've won all five Ivy games I've posted at MJs since then. Hopefully this one will run my record to 7-0!

In terms of units: all my Plays of the Day are rated the same. In terms of my own money management, I use a blackjack-type system where if I win I play approximately 150% of the previous day's bet the next day. At any point if I lose then I revert back to my original bet.

Since I have three consecutive winning days, Saturday's play will be 3.4 times my standard unit.

Of my books Olympic usually has them up first and then Grand Central. Olympic puts them up as soon as the day's last game goes off.

I tend to first look at scoresandodds.com to see what the numbers are and then at Don Best (Olympic is on Don Best) to see who's got what and if there is any movement.

Scott --

Just to clarify, as an example if my normal play is $100 then if I win then I play $150 on day 2, then if I win I play $225 on day 3, then if I win I play $340 on day 4 and so on.

Anywhere along the way if I lose I start over at $100.

I just wanted to be clear, you probably already understood this. It had to be explained about ten times to me!!!

great run there, superbook!

i have studied countless ways of money management in correlation with gambling, because i truly beleive that is the road to profitabilty. but i have never read or heard of a 150% reinvestment system. interesting, to say the least, but doing math in my head rather quickly, one loss would leave you with your starting unit. is that correct? and if so, were would you start taking out some profits?

i don't think anybody puts up lines faster than CRIS www.betcris.com

check them out.

matter of fact, most books start off by using cris lines.

this is a must have book, guys. seriously!

MJ -- you're right both CRIS and WWTS always seem to have their overnight lines up very early, I must open accounts there this year. I'll make it my New Year's resolution!

barkeep -- the point of the 150% of the original bet is to put some of your winnings aside. Here's how it works:

Day One: Wager $100 to win $200

If you win then you wager $150 on Day Two and keep $50 for yourself.

If you lose then you start at $100 again.

Day Two: Assuming you won, Wager $150 to win $300.

If you win then you wager $225 to win $450 on Day Three, keeping $75. So now you've put $125 aside ($50 + $75).

If at any point you lose then you start over at $100 again.

Does this make sense?

thanks for the clarification superbook.
i have read, and experimented with several money management systems playing craps.( i live an hour from A.C.) there is one system that somewhat duplicates yours, but is not for the guy who lacks discipline, patience, or likes the free booze. so i have never put that one into practice.

barkeep --

I learned this system in AC over the summer while playing blackjack with Krackman (from AC) and Mel Stewart (from Philly)...maybe you know them? They post here and there.

With their coaching I turned $80 into $900 in an hour and a half.

djv -- next to Krackman I'm a real little guy. He was worried I might be a Fed I was betting so small!
