Hammel has made just the one start after being out for a while with an injury and was held to under 6 innings for that one. He'll need BP help and both squads went reliever mental yesterday. Yanks have generally hit well against Hammel including 10 HR in 45 innings (reg.season); Yanks are putting 6 left-handed sticks (including switch) in the lineup and all of them have good power, not to mention a strong wind blowing from left to right which majorly helps. Sabathia likely to go deep and has done good work vs the O's, he generally keeps the ball in the park and pitches very well at home.

I had Gio in the first matchup--and was lucky to survive that one--but I don't see the cards struggling against a lefty on back-to-back days. Wind is supposed to be in from LC at 10mph but Gio's weakness isn't the long-ball but, if anything, some wildness. Ump Alf Marquez has about an average sized K-zone. Wainwright looked good last time out and certainly has more big-game experience than Gio, as does the squad in general.
