Have two very strong plays for the night:

Arizona laying 5.5 over Oregon

Walton should play tonight, but even if he doesn't, I still like the Cats tonight as they should be focused and ready to take on an Oregon Duck team that embarassed them just two weeks ago. This line looks fishy, but for good reason. Oregon is a different team on the road and Arizona plays extremely well at home. I expect an exact reversal of what we saw last weekend with percentages favoring the home team. . . especially from three point range.

Stanford laying 7.5 over California

The Bears are another team that has played solid during their non conference venture, but mostly at home. Unfortunately for the Bears, they did not play a quality squad that will prepare them for Stanford. . . especially on the road. Something else that concerns me about Californa is they shoot below sixty percent from the charity stripe! This won't get it done in the Pac 10!

Playing both VERY strong for 3 nickels each.

Still looking at adding Oregon State, but would not play this game for as much as the two sides listed above.

Not much of a "road" game for Cal when all they are doing is going across town. Berkeley and Palo Alto ain't exactly a continent apart. That being said, I like the Arizona play, but I gotta go with the Bears grabbing the points vs their arch-rivals.
Good luck to you tonight, Nickelback

redsfann,

Stanford is a very tough home team. . . similar to Arizona, Duke, Michigan State, etc. Guess my argument has nothing to do with the length of travel, but the environment as even Stanford's court (springs under the floor) is unique.

Best of luck to you as well and since we are on the same side for one game, go Wildcats!

jotom,

Thanks for the advice. . . and normally I would agree with you! Over the years I have had greater success capping the Pac 10 than any other conference (and taking the points is usually the right side especially home dogs).

Tonight I see a lot of value in these two home favorites so I've got to go with what my research indicates.

Lean to Oregon State, but I'm gonna lay off the game and wait for more quality picks for tomorrow. Just playing three tonight:

Arizona 3 nickels
Stanford 3 nickels
Raptors (NBA) 1.5 nickels

Good luck to us!

Nickleback,

Totally agree about Stanford's home court- it is certainly one of the toughest places in college basketball for a visiting team to play. I just like the match-ups in this one and I see a very close game with Stanford winning at the end. Again, best of luck tonight!

Well, a winning night overall as the NBA helped out. . . however, still a little concerned with the Arizona game. . . just completely wrong on that game and should have never placed such a large wager.

Hopefully a good day coming tomorrow.
