gman I would ordinarily agree, and the Big 11 isnt anything to get excited about, but those Illini guards are so quick and let's not forget that other than Duhon as a freshman none of these Duke guys have made the Final Four so I am not as taken by the jersey could they lay the hammer? sure but this is still a team that has only won 8 of its last 13 games and only the win over Hall was impressive

really cant argue with anything you said in this above post. will concede those points. i just think that if illinois plays the same tempo they did vs cincy, that plays right into dukes hands and the devils could run away with it. illinois- even though theyre shooting the 3 well right now - would be wise to try and play big10-style basketball in this one. running with duke is a recipe for disaster. very few teams can do it. but again, really cant argue with what you said. what scares me about illinois is that they are really hot/cold within the same game. theyll score 12 points in 3:00 and then not score for the next 3:00.

Gman, I would have to strongly disagree with you here. If Duke thinks they can run with Illinois they will be in trouble. Dee Brown, Deron Williams and Luther Head will run cirlces around a slow J.J. Redick and a dinged up Chris Duhon. The only guard Duke has that can run with the Illini 3 is Daniel Ewing. I know that the Big Ten is generally a half-court, hard nosed physical sytle, but this Illinois team plays nothing like "Traditional" Big Ten teams. Cincy found that out first hand last Sunday. Duke's interior men can definately expose Illinois weakness as Augustine is really soft and Powell lacks in height for a big man. Illinois matches up with Duke very well and I think they will show that tonight.

i am assuming a super top play like illinios is larger that the villanova and florida state plays that were called top plays. sun-tzu ithink illinios is the way to go but i like dukes wins of 86-63 over maryland and 85-71 over ga tech .

Yes.....A Super Top Play is stronger than a Top Play. All I'm recommending is putting a little more on it...The Illinois play comes up as a stronger play, but Nevada is still a strong play too. For example, if your playing my Top Play's for $75 a game, then put $150 on the Super's. Whatever you're normal play is, I would double up on my Super's. They don't come up too often, that's why they are stronger...hopefully it cashes tonight!! Go Illini!!

Big Bearcat supporter here. Closely watched that game last sunday between UC and Illinois. Wow. That Illinois team is deceptively quick for a big 10 team. I always thought the big 10 was kinda a slow, slug it out basketball conference.

Although this years bearcats were not the quickest of Huggins teams, UC couldnt catch up with Illinois. Every shot Illinois took was an open one. They moved the ball around very well. Had someone in UC's face each time we tried to shoot. UC was never in this game. Then again Illinois shot something like 66%. Hard to duplicate that.

I called Coach K earlier and told him if he wants to beat this Illinois team he better not give them open looks. Or was that my mother I called. Anyway haven't seen Duke play this year but do not, I repeat. do not, underestimate this Illinois team.

7 is way too many points to give in this game. I think Illinois has one hell of a good chance of winning this one outright. If I was gamblin I'd take the points in a heartbeat.

But then again, thats why I'm not gamblin.

I told you to hammer that moneyline on the Bearcats and sure enough they cruised to a three point win in the last 13 seconds. Turn a deaf eye and a blind ear to Eddies picks and pay the piper old boy.

Duke you say. Why would I watch a B level team like the Blue Hornets when I can watch Huggie bear and the bearcats romp off to a 13-0 start humiliating such teams like Valpariso, Elon College and Atheletes in Action.

By the way, the reception on Mars is just fine thank you very much.
