Another note as visitor to the frozen north.
There's a community ice pond with warming hut five blocks from my bro's house. In late afternoon there are usually enuf kids with sticks, and regular skaters gone, for a pick-up hockey game. Quite a treat for central Texan to see a pick-up pucks on the frozen pond!

pretty cool stuff, T-Ray, i dont think texans can handle any weather below about 50 degrees. they might melt.. heading back to austin tomorrow, will try to post refs before i leave, will try to get in touch with ya when you return from the north.
