At first glance at tonights lineup, a few teams caught my eye.
Memphis @ S. Miss
S. Miss has looked pretty sad of late and Memphis looks straight in ---right. After all Memphis beat em by what , 22 in first meeting. Public will be all over Memphis , I would imagine. I look at numbers quite a bit and place a lot of faith in Massey numbers.
Saying that ,I give Memphis big advantage offensively. Give S Miss advantage defensive numbers. Do some addin and some subtracten and come up with Memphis by about 8?. Throw in the revenge factor after a humiliating first loss , TV exposure and playin at home , and we may have game.I have seen these games , too many times, where first time big winner gets heavy public support in second rematch game, and the results are somehow much closer than anyone would imagine possible. Think Memphis wins the game , but results somehow closer than anyone could imagine.
Therefore taking S Miss +10
Seton Hall -9? --- I know WV, got some problems. But, I don't want Seton hall -9? vs anyone. Give me W Vir +9? , heck they still got a basketball team.
W Virginia +9?
These plays will probably be big time minority plays, but that is what makes it interesting. Somebody has to win,right !
