Think terps offense is to much for Wildcats defense.Terps will control the paint and the wings.Terps transition game will cause big problems for Tubby.If Williams doesn't have these guys focused tonite something is wrong.With all the problems Tubby has had this yr his team is still alive.But tonite he meets the grim reaper.Not going to break down all the players.You guys know them all.Don't give Prince good looks and double him once in awhile.Dixon and Blake will ....forget it.Win by double figures.This is a "luv" game.
SIU +5 over Conn.
Going against my BE team tonite.SIU plays 8 or 9 guys.They play excellant defense.Can score from the perimeter and Roberts inside is a force.Conn is one of my favorites teams.Great coach,Butler,Gorden and Okafor can dominate in their own way anytime.
But Conn is so turnover prone.Had 36 in last 2 tourney games.Beat NC St shooting 70% but won by only 3 pts.Brown is a little shaky at the pt.If Gordon doesn't hit from the outside and robertson is streaky Conn could be in trouble vs. the swarming Saluki's.
Conn has played in the Cuse Dome and that gives them a big advantage. But I think Conn won't be able to put this team away and it goes down a lead change with 10 seconds on the clock.
Oregon -3.5 over Texas
Spent more time on this game then any other.Still not sure.I like the B-12 over the Pac.Ridnour vs Ford should be great.Ducks have 3 guys that shoot the 3 better then anybody.And 2 guys off the bench that can shoot them.They broke the PAC -10 record for 3's,shoot and amazing 42%.A little less on the road[38%]Ridnour,Jones,and Jackson are the famos trio.These 3 scored 81 pts vs Wake.Inside the paint they have 7'2 300 pound Christofferson.Not mobile like Thomas and Erskin but a widebody.
Texas plays tough defense but I'm not sure if they can play the perimeter D.Texas perimter defense is there achilles heel.They gave up this yr 236 tre's.Thats 34 more then they ever gave up.Neb and OU 2 of the best 3 pt teams Texas faced bombed them with 15 and 12 tre's.
So Oregons offensive strength is Texas's major weakness on defense.
TJ Ford has done an outstanding job.He sets the table for the Texas O.If he has a avg-to bad game the Horns are in trouble.He has been somewhat TO prone latly.
I'll take the Ducks tonite but am still scared about my B-12 mentality of them beating the PAC-10.And Texas is 3-1 vs the PAC.
I'll take the over 160 here because texas won't be able to keep it a half court game and will run with the Ducks.
Kansas -5.5 over Illi
Williams has to win this one.It's karma.Kansas will play with them awhile and pull away. F.Williams has had 3 or 4 good games in a row.He is due for his bad one.Transition game in the 2nd half will wear the Illi's down.
Nova +2 over temple only because Greer is out.Nova still plays great defense and Buchanon should get some good looks tonite.Sales and Wright inside are a little better then Lyde and Rolly.Hawkins and Wesby will be pressured tonite to score W/O greer.Don't think it will be enough vs Wrights hawking defense. Nova wins this game.
