Line way too high here. I do now think they bottomed out last night. Pitchers going in two different directions. WSox 1-6 last seven while Sea 5-2.

10 Units

WSox -$180

IO you know if the Cubs game has any chance of resuming? Looks like they tried squeezing the 5 innings and might be ready to call it.

Was listening to the radio call and Ronnie thinks they will call it. I can only hope the same happens to the Sox.

Ozzie and the trainer knew Contreras was having trouble with his hamstring. McCarthy was ready to come in. Would have been better if they didn't even start Contreras.

amazin a team can quit that badly. i guess winning last year was enough for them.

didn't play it, but hopefully it gets called for you.

i guess losing aaraon rowand really did have a devastating effect on the team. big clubhouse guy and the outfield aside from dye was smoke and mirrors all year. posednik might join my all loser team captained by jason kendall. you have a base stealer who can't hit and is scared to steal a base. the white sox are batting under .200 for whoever they throw out in center field. konerko is the slowest man to ever lace up cleats. and every pitcher save garland had below average years.

maybe you can enlighten us on some local clubhouse goings on, because there has to be a problem. maybe its ozzie, maybe its not but people always blame the manager.

and the bullpen...big change from last year.

gl, you should just become a dodger fan.

I heard the best summary of this season from Steve Stone doing his local radio thing here. He said the pen really did this team in. As he put it, a bad pen can make a mgr look aweful and a good pen, like last year, can make a mgr look great. You are right on about Scotty Pods. Think marriage has been the worst thing for his career. The biggest mistake, outside of the million base running mistakes and this year puke fielding (both were great last year), is Ozzie CONSTANTLY sitting guys and changing the lineup every game only to STILL have guys go down late in the season. He should have managed more in the now than for the future. He should have tried harder to win the game at hand. Joey Cora might prove me wrong but I think he sucks. I think Rowand is way over rated. He dives for balls and go through walls because he sucks playing center field while a better player makes those same plays look easy.

Basically this team lost all desire this year. I lay that all on Ozzie. He had to do something to get his team to play and he didn't. You could see last years spark every now and then. It was still there. Especially when a player was hit by a pitcher. The Sox would then (only then) bring their best to that game.

Long way to go in this one.

I bring up Rowand not because of him as a player, but as a leader. Everything I heard last year was that he was a good clubhouse guy, and players were real upset seeing him go this year. He might not be as great a fielder as some of the sportscenter highlights showed, but he worse his heart on his sleeve to borrow a terrible cliche'.

Anderson is a better fielder or at the minimum just as capable as Rowand albeit without the breaking his nose running into a wall, but i think its a real slap in the face to the vets to constantly play a 21 year old batting .200 who i've heard is pretty cocky. i mean how cocky can you be batting .200

the pieces are still there for next year if they want it, just a question of whether or not they will.

I could see Williams moving Crede and picking up some big help for the pen. They have nothing there. McCarthy is a starter and shouldn't be coming out of the pen. You are very right about Rowand and Anderson. The problem is, Mackowiack has been a major disappointment when he replaces Anderson and they were also trying to figure out left field defensively. I talked a lot of smack about Crede for the years he was going through his growing pains but the organization was correct about him at the end of the day. Hopefully they know what they are doing now with Anderson. Kenny Williams won't hold back. Anybody can be moved outside of the speedy local Konerko or Garland.
