ATS: 52-36-4 (+25.3)
OU: 41-39-1 (-2.0)
ML dogs: 1-1 (+1.35)

Friday thoughts:

1) The Knicks are still really good, although the sure made me sweat that one out near the end. I would have like to see Melo finish that game, and see if he could have kept up the barrage. They looked like a totally different team when he went down. I just could not understand why all the Laker?s starters were still in the game in the fourth quarter. I realize they made a late run, but was the win really ever in doubt? They have a game again tonight, and I just don?t know why D?Antoni didn?t rest some of his older players near the end.

2) Lawrence Frank survived another week with a job. They even won a game this week, congrats Lawrence! :jump:
Their younger players were complaining this week about their rigorous schedule. I understand there are some adjustments to be made when coming into the NBA, but shouldn't it be the old guys who are complaining? As long as team continues to whine about everything, I'll continue to fade them.

3) Tonight?s card features six home dogs. The favorites have been $$ so far this year, but that can?t hold up forever...

Mavericks vs Raptors

The Mavericks are playing really good right now. I was impressed with their ball movement against the Celtics. There is so much one-on-one in the NBA, but I think this team is really playing the right way. They are handling the ball well, and they are 11-0 ATS (+7.7 ppg) after a game on the road where they attempted at least four times as many field goals as their number of turnovers. When the Mavericks have won at least 4 ATS, they are 10-5 SU (+8.3 ppg) in their next game (13-2 ATS). The Raptors are on a five game losing streak. In their last five they are 2-14 (-11.9 ppg). They were looking good against Brooklyn for awhile in their last game, but they had a typical complete second half melt down. The Mavericks have owned the Raptors recently, going 6-2 SU (+6.9 ppg). The Mavericks have historically performed very well off an overtime loss. The Raptors are completely banged up, and I don?t see them rebounding from their recent stinkage tonight.

Warriors vs Magic

The Magic, oh the Magic. They are not very good. They are 1-6 SU (-11.6 ppg) at home this year as a dog. This is not looking good for the Magic. The Warriors are streaking hot right now, and they are looking to avenge an earlier loss this year at home against the Magic. However, they are not great at doing that. Since January of 2011, when playing on the road and seeking revenge for a game they lost at home earlier in the year, the Warriors are 1-15 SU (-12.5 ppg). The Magic at home when they won the previous matchup on the road are 7-2 SU (+4.8 ppg) in this calendar year. For some reason, they have dominated the Warriors recently, going 7-1 SU (+13.9 ppg). Of course, many of these games were with a very different lineup, but it could still be relevant. The Florida road trip is not always the easiest. Teams after upsetting the Heat and then playing in Orlando are 13-21 SU (-5.6 ppg). The Warriors will end their long road trip tomorrow against the Hawks, who are a much better team than Orlando. For some reason, teams on road trips struggle before playing the Hawks, going 2-15 SU in their last 17 (-12.5 ppg). Although this is a revenge game for the Warriors, it is still an easier sandwiched opponent between the Heat and the Hawks, and I think the Warriors will hit a Magical road block tonight.

Grizzlies vs Nuggets

The Nuggets have a raucous home crowd, and as a home favorite on Friday, the Nuggets have gone 7-1 SU (+12 ppg) in their last 8. Must be that good mountain air ;)

Lakers vs Wizards

What to do with the Lakers? If Wittman was watching the game last night, he will just run pick-and-rolls all night long. The Lakers have historically performed well on no rest. However, after watching that game last night I just don?t see how they are going to hang with the Wizards tonight. Kobe was already in pain in the first quarter, getting ice packs on the sideline, and then he played 44 minutes!! Really, the hope for the Lakers remains in the rest of the team. When the rest of the team plays well, the Lakers are actually a lot better than when Kobe scores 30+. The Wizards beat the Lakers last year, and when the Lakers have lost the previous matchup against a team, they are 3-15 SU (-9.3 ppg) on the road facing them.

D?Antoni after the game said: ?Obviously, we gotta get our guys back and right now we're struggling and hopefully tomorrow we can start our way back a little bit.? I realize your ?little bit? might be better than the Wizards, but I will take the points with a rested home squad that has been playing good in their last few games.

Kings vs Thunder

I remember watching a game earlier this season where the Thunder struggled, and I was thinking to myself that they looked horrible, and this would surely lead to a streak of bad games for them. The next game, they came out and absolutely demolished their opponent. They are one of the best teams at playing ?mad?. Durant is one of my favorite players, and his mental outlook is probably the best in the league. I bet them last Friday and they failed to cover the spread, but barely... They are still great on Friday nights, and after not covering their last game they are 11-1 SU (+13 ppg) playing at home on Friday. Their last time in this situation, coincidentally they played Sacramento and won 115-89. Looking for a similar rout tonight, against one of the worst road teams in the league. After losing ATS and playing as a home favorite, the Thunder are 14-1 (+13.5 ppg). At home vs the Kings, they are 7-0 SU (+14.4 ppg).

Still looking at a few more games...GL
