At first glace, I really like the dogs to bark often Friday night:

Columbia taking 3 over Yale. . . tempo will play a large role in this game as Yale is used to taking over sixty shots a game while Columbia plays a Princeton like game and shoots under fifty. I feel the slow tempo will prevent Yale from going on any large spurts in this game. Three points should be huge.

St Mary's taking 5.5 (hopefully more by tomorrow) over Pepperdine. . . I expect this line to climb as the public should be on Pepperdine. Kind of strange for a team that shoots the ball sixty six times a game, they only average thirty one rebounds. Pepperdine will have to shoot extremely well on the road in order to cover this line. This will be a HUGE game for St Mary's at home. I may even bite on the ML if there's enough value.

Loyola +7.5 over San Fran. . . another fishy line that looks like an easy pick on the home team. Still, Loyola is the better shooting team statistically and they're getting some nice points over a team that is struggling.

I honestly expect two of these three dogs to win their games straight up. Unless I uncover information to the contrarty tomorrow, I will certainly be on all three. Hopefully a few more to come in the morning or afternoon.

By know means i am critizing your selections but i have been watching you and the others great guys and you have very good.
today however you and raymond are picking the opposites and to me that means no play. I was leaning one way and your info makes me think your points are very valid. best of luck as i will just sit back and wait til tomorrow.

good point bgh

good point bgh

i find it works out better in the long run to not play if the masters conflict;unless one of them has a strong play versus a regular play.
no need to push a play,we have so much good info on the site,"why ask why."

Ray is a tremendous capper. . . guess our numbers just came up on different sides today.

Loyola and St Mary's are certainly my stronger picks. Still like Columbia though. When I take a look at the lines for the first time, I try and determine which sides I would choose WITHOUT research. Those were Yale, Pepperdine, and San Fran! However, after crunching the numbers, it was obvious to me that the opposite sides are the way to go. St Mary's and Loyola were horrible teams in the past while San Fran and Pepperdine were near the top. But this year is different and taking points (especially at home) will be huge IMO.

Went ahead and played a few for now:

Regular plays:

Loyola taking 7
St Mary's taking 5.5

Small play:

Columbia ML +125

Stupid ML parlay on all three above (you never know!) for a very very small play.

Probably won't push any other plays as we should have plenty of games to choose from tomorrow but my opinions on others games are Penn, Rutgers, San Diego, and Harvard.

Nickelback--

I always love your picks but am not with you on Columbia tonight.

The Lions have two of the Ivy's best players, forward Craig Austin and center Chris Wiedemann but Yale also has some good players and probably has more depth.

Yale is coming off a big upset win over Clemson which had to give them a lot of confidence.

And FWIW, this same Columbia team (all five starters returned) was much tougher at home last year than on the road.

Superbook,

Yeah, a lot of good cappers on Yale. . . line just appears to be too inviting to me. . . especially at first glance. Maybe Vegas has something up their sleeve. . . maybe not! Either way, I'm content with playing this game small and maybe I'll get lucky with an upset!

Time,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. . . my opinion on Rutgers is only that. . . I won't be playing the game. Good luck with whatever you choose as it is just too close for me to pick a side.
