AGAINST BIG EAST

AGAINST BIG EAST

I am going against BC vs Texas.

A win at SU in last conference game and a win over Rutgers in tourney got BC into the dance and that is not saying much. Ofensively, BC has problems getting open shots. They do not screen well, don't move without the ball well, and don't pass the ball well. Got good shooters in bell and Sidney when they are hot, nothing when they are not.

Hard to see them putting it together against a good Texas team, down in Dallas. One of the few time I will lay the points.

CHICAGO -- Unless he gets healthy in a hurry, Georgia starting center Steve Thomas will be watching his team's opening-round game from his bed.

Thomas was held out of practice Thursday due to illness, and coach Jim Harrick wasn't sure whether the 6-foot-8 sophomore would be available for Friday's game against Murray State at the United Center.

"Steve Thomas woke up this morning with a 102 temperature," Harrick said Thursday. "We have a team doctor and that's what we pay him for. I expect him to pull (Thomas) out and have him ready."

Bluegrass!
No doubt these two teams finished up their seasons on opposite sides of the W/L column. Dogs last few ended up with losses to LSU, TN, FLA., and Auburn while the Racers won their last 10 of 11. However, you're comparing the OVC to the SEC and quite frankly that's uncomparable. I think Thomas will play and wouldn't be surprised to see him avg. his amount of minutes that he did throughout the season(29). Murray St has nine players on the roster with two of those seeing little or no action. Basically, they'll have seven people that their coach will sub in and out when they take on the Bulldogs.

Although I hate laying the wood in the tournament, I gotta think that Georgia is 8pts. better than the 3rd ranked team in the Ohio Valley Conference. Georgia is a damn good team but unfortunately stumbled a bit towards the end of the season. Harrick has quite a bit experience in the tournament and should come away with an easy "W"...
