Yale +2.5.....This just in....Yale is good (in terms of the Ivy League of course). Penn isn't imposing their will on the Ivy as they should. A warm homecoming for Yale here after 3 straight road wins. I'll take the home dog. (2* play)

Princeton +1......They aren't getting the credit they deserve this year. I know they aren't the Princeton of old, but they are winning, and knowing how to win and close the deal is important to me. Brown won't be the first blemish. (3* play)

Memphis -4.5.....Looking for any reason to take UAB and I can't come up with enough to warrant it. Only reason this won't be a stronger play is because the line truely scares me. (2* play)

Rider -10......I'm not big into "revenge" when it comes to sports, but this may be a small case here. Rider will outrebound Fairfield by a wide margin and this should be the big difference. (4* play)

Good luck guys.

Like your play on Princeton and Memphis.

Two things on the others:

Fairfield outrebounded Rider 37-34 in their first game on 1/14/02. Be careful in looking at Fairfield's season averages as their leading scorer and rebounder Ajou Deng didn't start playing for them until mid-season.

Yale has a good team but Penn is still the class of the Ivy. You're right they haven't shown it yet but IMO they've been distracted by Big Five games etc. I think now they'll get down to business; I think the loss at home to Columbia might have gotten their attention. Penn is #67 in Sagerin ratings at 79.22, Yale is #168 at 71.80.

The Bulldogs are young, feisty and leading the league in wins but I think Penn will show the new kid on the block who's still boss tonight.

Good input superbook. Deng's injury totally slipped my mind when capping the game. Oh well, go Rider! ;)

Good point on Penn, but I've also noticed that over the years Penn plays better on Saturday than Friday....usually. Just gonna go with that tonight. Hope things pan out :)

hey homey

hey homey

i like your call on yale. elis are a young squad and got to this point in the conference race last year and lost cosecutive games to penn, princeton and brown to fade from contention. all those kids now have a year's experience and have been been in this spot before. also, from all indications i've seen the game should be a rare sellout in new haven tonight. only weakness i see is yale will have to step up and defend at the arc as penn shoots 39.3% on treys and yale is last in the ivy league in three point defense. but with a big game like this i would expect the defensive intensity to be there. all in all, i think the elis are a nice home dog.

i also like memphis and rider but am puzzled by the memphis line and shy of dd's in the rider game. however both favorites look so strong i may end up playing both.

good luck tonight.

I think the world is puzzled by the Memphis line. I haven't seen one compelling reason out of anyone to play UAB other than to be contrarian. The Yale pick gets me all warm and fuzzy inside LOL Guess that's either Taco Bell from lunch or a good pick ;)

Pepperdine -10.5......I generally don't coattail, but I am going to be a little lazy and do it this time. See some good write-ups on Pepperdine, so I'm with ya boys! (1* play)
