At the hospital with a good friend who was robbed at gun point in the breeze way directly in front of his apartment door. Knocked him off his feet on to the concrete which broke his arm, stuck a gun in his face and stole wallet, cell and keys then took off in my friends Tahoe. He lives in a nice gated community on the south side of jax. The police already found the truck in a mnorth side getto. Apparently went and bought drugs with the money they stole and smoked it in the truck. The police said he is lucky to be alive as he was able to pick the robber out of the photo's at the station. It appears you are not safe anywhere in the big city now. Be safe!

These random acts of violence are more and more rampant. Im in S.Florida and I wont even get gas at the Mobil which is blocks from my mid to upperclass neighborhood after say 10 or so. Way too many beggers and strange fucking people hanging around.
My wife pulled into the station at 2pm turned the car off was pumping gas had the keys but didnt lock the doors cause she was standing there. A car pulls up on the other side runs up opens the passenger door grabs purse and bag of her stuff runs across the parking lot jumps in the car and takes off. BROAD DAY LIGHT......We file police report they say it has happened 6x this month same way same station and they even have video from the station yet there is little they can do cause NO ONE WAS HARMED. They dont have the resources for it.................SO SOMEONE HAS TO GET MURDERED OR HURT. WTF IS THIS WORLD COMING TO........MY WIFE HATES GUNS BUT I AM GOING TO BE FORCED TO GET TO PROTECT MY FAMILY AND I WILL SHOOT SOMEONE WITHOUT HESITATION.

Being aware of your surroundings when you go out is of the utmost importance. If you dont see them coming, your at their mercy.
I was just going to say the same thing. He didn't have enough time. Now, if the guy takes his money, starts walking away with his cash without incident(not breaking his arm), he has time to whip out his gun. What to do at that moment, I don't know. I'd be hard pressed not to just shoot the guy in the back. Put a gun in my face? Put a bullet in your back. Be sure to hit the spinal cord too. Make sure he won't be walking anymore either.

Thanks fellas. He is going to be ok. Has a broken wrist that he will have to see a specialist for next week. Other than the pain from his wrist I think his mental frame was hurt more than anything. As he put it he looked the devil in the eyes and thought he might be going to die. Very tramatic for him. I will check on him in the morning. Appreciate the will wishes. Going to go sit down and drink some crown and read the paper. Long day.
