1) I agree with Ticali. Anyone who ignores the foul differential is blind. That is 4 games now where the Pistons are getting Ft's at an alarming rate. Lets be objective about this. Think about it guys. Please think hard about this. The Pistons get about 80 points per game and they had 41 attempts from the Ft line. That is over half of their normal points for an entire game. You can't ignore those numbers. And now 3 times in a quarter the Lakers have put the Pistons in the bonus with at least 8 minutes left in the quarter. That is absurd. Lets be real. That's like asking a hockey team to win when the other team gets 10 power plays in the game. If no one thinks free throws cannot make or break a game, they are wrong. It can determine a game. Tonight in the first half the Lakers had many leads between 1-3 points. With 3:09 left in the 2nd qtr the Lakers had a 3 point lead. Derek Fisher goes on a break away in the middle to give the Lakers a 5 point lead. But, instead the refs call the foul on Fisher. No basket. Pistons still down 3 and they get to shoot 2 Ft's. That is a 4 point swing. Instead of Lakers up 5, now only up 1. Another thing of concern by the refs is who gets to shoot Ft's when both teams are in the bonus. It seems the refs always send either Billups or Hamilton for the Pistons to the line and when the refs give the Lakers FT's (to make it look as if they are being fair), they send Shaq. So come on people lets be objective cause I am as you will see when you read on.

Now Ticali and anyone else who is a Laker fan, come on boys get your head out of the sand. Believe me, I doubt anyone is a Laker fan like. I have lived and breathed purple and gold my entire life. I die for them. But, lets be objective here. Yes, I mentioned the Ft's, but even without FT's the Lakers are being dominated by the Pistons. It is not even a series. It is actually a joke. Anyone who thinks this is even a close series needs their heads examined. As a matter of fact, as funny as it sounds; this is one of the most lobsided finals in history as far as dominance. Lakers won one game by a miracle. This series should have been a sweep by the Pistons. Defense wins champions. Look at every sport. Think about it. This Laker hall a fame team set a record for lowest points ever in an NBA finals game. So what's that got to do with the refs? FT's do not prevent you from scoring, they just allow the other team to score. So, what's the excuse for the Lakers NOT scoring? Just ignore the fact that the Pistons get more free throws. What's the excuse for the Lakers averaging in the 70's this series? So lets say the Pistons don't get all those fouls and the Lakers win tonight 80 to what ever. What's the freaking excuse that the Lakers cannot score. Basketball is a team game. You guys know that. Benches and depth so many times determine an NBA title. Name one freaking player outside Kobe and Shaq to score double digits? YOU CAN'T! So what the f*** are you smoking Ticali thinking the Lakers have a remote shot when they are playing with two men. Face the facts. Payton is getting embarrassed. And so is every other role player. I mean they are getting blown out. Do you know in EVERY game the Pistons have had leads of at least 12 points? While the Lakers biggest lead the entire series is 9. This series is not even close. Lets face it. The Pistons are far superior to this Laker team. Don't be in denial. Man you sound just like the Yankee fans last year keep on yelling, "it's the Marlins. We'll turn it around." Never happened. For series to turn around there has to be a silver lining for a team. There is nothing that points to the Lakers turning it around. Usually teams that come back are teams that compete to the end and they keep getting better and better as the series goes. Lakers are getting worse by the minute. But, that's all credit to the Pistons. The scary part is that Shaq is having probably his best NBA finals ever:confused: and the Lakers are still losing by double digits. Come on bro think about it without your heart. People keep chasing the Lakers thinking no way they go down and they keep losing. Don't make the same mistake Tuesday. Lakers will get some nice points Tuesday that will look attractive and people are gonna get suckered again. Odds makers aren't fools. Did anyone EVER think the Lakers would be UNDER DOGS for all three games in Detroit? The answer is no. But, the odds makers made the Pistons favorites by the tip off ALL THREE TIMES. They have been right twice already. Lakers are rarely a dog EVER. And now they are dogs three times to a team the world bet on that they would sweep? Look the odds makers knew the Pistons would show up and they did. Everyone fell for the trap tonight and will again Tuesday. I'm sure you're saying, "No way world champion Lakers with Kobe and Shaq lose 3 times in a row to the Pistons. No way Phil Jackson loses like this. No way the Pistons can cover 3 points versus the Lakers. The NBA wants a 7 game series. " DO NOT GET ENTICED. Our beloved Lakers got their asses spanked and more to come.

Did anyone EVER think the Lakers would be UNDER DOGS for all three games in Detroit? The answer is no.

Actually I will call you on this statement....... if you look at the past road lines against
Houston
SA
Minnesota..............the Lakers were either underdogs or maybe at the most 2 or 3 point favs in every playoff road games they have played this yr........
against SA they were 4-5 point underdogs in all three games and against Minnesota they were either a pick or a 1 pt fav.........

So it would have been logical thinking to think they would have been a underdog to Detroit...........

the reason the foul descriptancy is due to the fact the Lakers are shooting more jump shots pure and simple...................

Look at stats tonight..........Detroit getting 22-5 advanyage on fast break points.........thats just hustle and the Lakers being lazy...........

and how about the Lakers playing their biggest and most important 4th quarter of their season and they give up 32 points in the 4th quarter to a team that doesnt score that well..........simple statement......LA played terrible defense in the 4th and they are tired, lazy and old..............and thats the facts

BOTTOM LINE IS THE LAKERS ARE NOT THAT GOOD OF A TEAM.......HOW MANY YEARS HAS IT TAKEN THEM TO GET A DECENT POWER FORWARD...............THEY GET MALONE THIS YEAR AND THEY ACT SURPRISED WHEN HE GETS INJURED...........LAKERS FRONT OFFICE CLUE..........HE'S 40...........THEY REALLY HAVE'NT ADDRESSED THE POWER FORWARD SITUATION IN YRS AND YRS AND NOW ITS CATCHING UP TO THEM...

Well said. Lakers could have won this game or least taken it down to final minutes. They failed. Also Lakers forgot they had Shag on their team in the 4th quarter. Stupid coaching and stupid players. I also thought the refs did good job in the 2h of this game. Wish the series was called the way it was in the 2h. Only few minor bad calls but no huge free throw disparity. THe 1h might be another story.

Still wish I had your betting ticket on Pistons 70-1 you lucky bum. Please post your next future play on madjacks, i def. will be on it. I read where you had other great future tickets but didn't hedge.

Remember the Lakers have Horace Grant who is pretty good power forward. He got injured. Malone/Grant is a very good verteran duo who would easily have gotten the job done if both healthy. Now the prob. of them getting injured was pretty high. They knew the risk.

What are you talking about? NO ONE thought the Lakers would EVER be a dog versus the Pistons.

Versus the Spurs WAS expected. They were even a series dog. Versus the T'Wolves expected as the T'Wolves were a NUMBER ONE SEED with the leagues MVP.

Another point- those teams are from the west. COME ON BRO. No one expected ANY team from the East to be favorites versus any west teams. How can you say before the series started when the Lakers were 6-1 favorites that it was logical to think the Pistons would be favorites at home? 20/20 is hindsight. If anyone thought the Pistons would be laying points to the mighty Lakers before the series than the price of the series wouldn't be 6-1. Odds makers make teams favorite by giving that team the stronger chance of winning that game. So, we are to believe by the Pistons being favored all 3 games at home that a team favored to win the series at a price of 6-1 makes sense? No one expected Pistons to be favored. No one thought the East could be this dominant. Trust me the oddsmakers weren't expecting to make the Pistons home favorites until what they saw in the first two games. Those games were enough for the oddsmakers to know what was to come. A small favorite is STILL a favorite and that's what they were for most of the playoffs with the exception of DEFENDING champ Spurs.

The Malone situation is 20/20. How can you say the Lakers didn't address the power forward. HELLO they beat the Spurs. This Spurs team was better than last years Spur team. It was Karl Malone who helped the Lakers have answers to Duncan and get past the Spurs. Obviously, the move to get Malone helped them. The Lakers are in the NBA finals and spurs aren't. The Lakers addressed their needs to get past the Spurs cause just like everyone else in the world, everyone thought if the Lakers get past the Spurs they win their 4th title under Phil. The West teams don't make offseason moves to beat the east teams. No one really knew how good the east was. Everyone thought it was horrible shooting, but all the while it was great defense. It's easy now to be a Piston believer or backer. And it's easy now to say this Laker team is over rated. Guaranteed if Lakers win game 5 then people will say, "Pistons blew it. They choked." Gamblers always go from one hot team to another, but usually they arrive to late.
