I hit a 5p 50/3100 the other day, and came pretty close to winning 12k last night on an 8p. i missed the stl O 9.5 by 1.5 runs, and (following bigkyle) the over 199.5 on the Mia hoops game by .5 point. Tend to be close to all right or all wrong. Don't play these every day, but like to play them on last day of series. Today is day one of most series, but have some extra time, so...

8p: 50/18,290

Pit +1.5 -120
Cin +142
Met 7U +100
Col -104
Stl R +130
Cle R +145
Yank +104
Oak R -120

Straight bets:

100 Pit AR (-1.5) +294
100 Cin AR +291

Claussen has really improved, and I think there's better than 1/4 chance that he outduels Oswalt, and few Cin games are decided by one run. Very fair risk for a large return. As for Pit, Myers is not bad, but he just seems to give up runs if he pitches long enough. That's not much of a reason, and Phi doen't stink quite as bad as Pit, but I think I have a solid 40% chance of winning this bet.

230 Stl -1 -115

I'd bet on this 10x before I'd bet on Smoltz or Pedro tonight. Stl simply outhits Was by a multiple. And if it's a one-run win, you don't lose. One of my favorite type of bets. The only Was guy likely to beat Stl right now is Patterson. It's possible Marquis will blow up, but this sort of bet will win two out of three, and I think it will win tonight. There simply isn't any advantage Was has in this game.

200 Tex -1 +101

Same as Stl. I have lots of faith in this Cle team. Great hitting. All the advantages are on my side, and all I give up is the one-run victory - but I don't lose, and to me that's the key.
