"Nobody's happy about it. Everybody's got a bitter taste in their mouth and they want to get rid of it," Tech coach Chan Gailey said.
Tonight, Tech, which finished 7-6, gets its first chance to erase those memories and begin building new ones at BYU (9:30, ESPN2). With freshman Reggie Ball at quarterback, some Yellow Jackets are approaching the game with a sense of desperation rarely seen inseason-openers.
"We need something really bad. We need to go out there and play really hard and we definitely need to win," senior tight end John Paul Foschi said. "It will definitely help our spirits."
Any thoughts on this? I am not sure a freshman quarterback can go into BYU and win his first game on the road, but motivation is a crazy thing...............
