it's only illegal for the one taking the bets.

BUT....it's legal where they are taking the bets.

our government wants all the money for themselves.

How to Keep an NCAA Betting History Record

:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

Competitive sports play host to a lot of gambling outlets. The NCAA is one of the most followed sports organizations, as there are 1,200 institutions with teams competing throughout the year. As a result, there are a lot of betting opportunities in the NCAA. Many gamblers and sports enthusiasts keep a record of their betting history so they can see where they made mistakes and where they made smart choices. Keeping a record also lets you track your current bets.

Things You?ll Need:

Record keeping software
Notepad
Step 1:
Create a spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel, or simply create a file in which you can track your record. Keeping a spreadsheet makes it easy to keep highly detailed information in a compact file, and you can edit it and print it whenever you need to.

Step 2:
Make a note of the date of your bet, as well as the odds at which you have wagered your money. This is important, especially when making futures bets (since the odds on players or games can change dramatically throughout the season).

Step 3:
Note the amount you've wagered. This is probably the single most important statistic you can track. How much you wager determines how much you get in payout. Never lose track of your specific wager amounts. Many betting outlets will give you a record of your bet to keep so you always have a copy.

Step 4:
Create a graph of your betting wins and losses. This can help you determine if you're betting smart, or winning or losing based solely on bad luck. Consistently making sound bets will, in the long run, equal profits, but the occasional risky bet can also be beneficial.

Step 5:
Be sure to include where you've placed your wagers in your record. Some gamblers make notes or quick abbreviations so they can remind themselves where they've made their bets.

Thanks guys. I was just curious. I took a hit recently and paid the man. Im sure a sars report was filed at my bank and was wondering what the deal is.

Everyone I know has a bookie or offshore book and talks openly about gambling...I was curious what the real deal is.

It sounds likethe real issue is the person receiving cash claiming it on tax returns? I have heard some people say that making wagers over the phone may be a violation of some sort of law?
