Belly of the Beast
This thread is going to have more spoilers than my reputation comments to kickserv or my replies to his off the wall threads.

So.......

How's the show do with the red wedding. It was exactly how I pictured it without the overturned tables, the band sounded the same and the bride was perfect. Kay freaked out without ripping her face , but there is no doubt that she completely lost it.

I pictured the hounds escape with much more chaos and roles Bolton looked like an idiot when he let Kat see his armor, but other than that, I thought they did great

Anyone else want to share their thoughts with the class?

*heresay spoiler alert*

i haven`t read the books, but i have read some commentary on them.......and that seemed to indicate this isn`t your average hollywood happy ending saga......matter of fact it was mentioned that as this thing moves forward, good guys take the pipe like clockwork(that is, if the tv adaption doesn`t deviate from the books)........

which, imo, makes it more interesting and realistic...

just please don`t f-ck with dinklage or lena headey....i`d miss their interaction way too much....

If dinklage goes down, it had better be epic and fucking harsh.

Haven't started watching this season yet, but that scene in the book was incredible. Can't wait until he's done with the next one!

Overall, they did a great job with the buildup and scene. There was just enough premonition without clearly giving it away, just like in the book. Good with details, like Bolton not drinking. Two big deviations-

1) in the book, the Blackfish isn't there at all as he stays behind to hold riverrun. Right before the scene he leaves to urinate, so I am assuming somehow he lives (haven't watched ep. 10 yet).

2) in the book, Rob's wife is not there and thus does not die, but it does make for a nice dramatic touch. Her character barely appeared again through 5 books, so one has to assume she was inconsequential after this, especially since Martin helped with the screenwriting.

Unbelievable turn of events. Killing of the wolf was the worst-made it feel final. Ugh

That was a nice touch . . . . taking away my last shred of hope for a Stark son rising up. . . .forgot about that.

Seeing the womb cut, the wolf slaughtered made it worse than the books in some ways.
