Kansas + 125 ML
Two teams that are very even, talent-wise. I'll take the points and also the ML.
Illinois is deeper, but they are prone to lengthy scoring dry spells and they sometimes don't play with the emotion that may be required in this game. Both teams have excellent backcourts, and Illinois probably has the slight frontcourt edge.
However, Kansas is running on all cylinders right now. They are the more disciplined team, less prone to 'mental errors', are virtually equal in talent overall, even with their 7 man rotation, and have at least a 50% chance to win this game. If this game, in this situation was played 10,000 times, would Kansas win 50% of the time? I think so.
Thus, I find value in getting points and the +125 on the ML.
