I was hoping you'd agree with my Pitt +6 pick. Just can't see why Miami is such a big favorite. Think Pitt wins outright. Anyways, good luck on the rest.

Iowa's Reggie Evans is sick with a headcold, this same cold held him to 7pts on sunday at Indiana. From reports the cold has only gotten worse since then. Ill @ -7 is a steal. Without Evans Iowa has no inside force, against Ill. thats the kiss of death. They will destroy Iowa.

What Happened to Ohio?

What Happened to Ohio?

Does anyone know what happened to Ohio? Last I saw, they were up 60-53 with 2:30 left.....
Final 62-61 - and of course I was laying 1'....

Not complaining, but just wondering how the end of the game ended up playing out..... Missed free throws by Ohio? Did Buffalo score 8 straight and Ohio win at the buzzer??

Like I said, if anyone knows, I'd appreciate it!

A little discussion about the game was over on Booze11's string. It seems OU scored 2 points in the last 2:46 and apparently missed some free throws at the end of the game, according to Hellah10. I, like a lot of us, was also caught on the hook.

Fletcher, a question for you. I read your comments over on the other thread and I was wondering. Do you play more on your 5* than you do your other plays. Your comments about money mgt. warrant attention but I wonder how you limit your plays and play amounts. Envy you and Ray in Vegas. I hope to go out during March to be part of the Madness. It's truly the best place in the world, at least the US. Thanks...

:)

first i donot lay jucie. if my unit lets say is 100 to keep it simple i lay 100 to win 90.90.

so on a 5* i play 1.5 units=150
4* full unit
3* is .5 units

this has worked the best for me over a proven time of 5 years for me,because i like to play fav's in baseball and do good with it,it becomes a must because the jucie would take a big bet in a ml nhl or baseball over the course of the year. i know what % i hit or will hit about each year,in baseball so thats why it works for me,i feel it saves a good chunk of cash over the year by betting flat.
hope this helps.
good luck

Fletch,
That unit system makes great sense because of the baseball. I remembered watching your Baseball plays and they were almost all heavy favorites, but regardless , more often then not, they seem to always come out either winning or barely losing with much regularity. I wanted to try it out because as a rule I never play 200+ favorites in baseball because I could not afford to do so and it always seemed like a losing proposition, but by not laying the juice , the way you play it , I could see where that by playing the heavy favorites you could build a nice bankroll. Hope to try it come baseball , it seems very logical way to win on the bases.

Fletch gotta love the effort by okstate. I do not care I felt a lot better losing that game than pushing on ohio u. I would mcuh rather get my ass ran out of the gym than to blow a big lead. I know what you mean usually around the second half of conference play you can make a lot of $$$$$$. The games usually seem to go true to form. The good teams will roll big over the weaker teams. The odds makers do not seem to adjust the line the second time around. What happened the first time the teams played does not seem to enter into the oddsmakers thinking. Good luck and keep the plays coming. Thanks for that ravens game last week. I was totally leaning the other way. Good luck and lets get on one hell of a roll;)

ILL -7 vs. Iowa....a review

ILL -7 vs. Iowa....a review

Fletch,

I didn't have the nuts to pull the trigger, BUT...after the game began, I went back and checked the db and this is what I discovered...

Illinois had two loss/no covers in their L 2 road games. Usually, a red flag for any team.

That's a pretty bad trend, especially when you're a road fav and can't snatch a SU win.

What trend could be worse? Not many that I can think of.

But there is one.

Iowa played their L 2 games at home and a previous game on the road as a 1' road dog.

In all 3 games, their losses were nowhere near the number.

No guts, no glory.

Great call.
