duke - 14.5 1st half 4*

ever since duke lost to fsu they have been drilling teams in the first half and taking care of their business then calling off the dogs in the 2nd half.

i look for them to make a point tonight aginst fsu in the 1st half just to let them know they didnot forget what fsu did to them, its not very fun being in a locker rooms without stools and name plates, you kind of feel homeless and degreated, and thats what coach k did to duke after that farce against fsu.

so look for duke to slap fsu in the face and then kick them in the teeth the first half to prove their point then they might call off the dogs in the 2nd half, then again they might not due to fsu players saying after the game that duke was just a another team.

well i don't think so and nor will fsu think so after tonight, its better to win and leave a sleeping dog lie then to wake him up,and the trash talk woke a monster.

good luck

ill-7.5 4*

well lets see we have a big ten team on the road giving points and havenot played well of late. infact really all year except a few games.

are the over rated and over valued most game this year, really dont know one the first but yes on the 2nd.

if they go in and play another sub par game this team will fallout of the top 25 and lose some major rpi points which they need to start racking up not giving away.

they willnot win the big ten so they need to show up tonight beat a sub-par team on the road and start to try to up their stock to try and get a 3 or 4 seed in the dance. if they don't then they are the true fraud of the ncaa this year, they need to go out and play under control lose the big head and start playing up to par.

they cannot just step on the court and expect to beat teams like the sports writters think they should,a big head and a sub-par coach means they both need to get back to the basic parts of the game, rebound, make shots and keep from turning the ball over.

if they go down tonight or squeek by they would have a better chance going nit because they will be a mop in the first round or 2nd as a lower seeded team.

same a cinci last night this is due or die from here on for the fighting frauds, they better start to preform or shut up and start going to class because teams don't get guys slid through 2nd semester when they are a mid level team.

all or nothing tonight so lets see if they have some fight and heart against a far less talented team even if they are at home.

good luck.

Well since i go to U of I, i felt i should throw my 2 cents in on the illini. Bill Self seems like he doesn't know what to do with this team. He tries switchin around the lineup by sittin Frankie and it works but then he goes right back to the old way of starting him. Is it me or does Frankie look like he is high as a kite at like every game. I know that it is his style to just coast most of the way but this year he seems like he just doesn't care. He will be gone after this year most liley a second round pick unless he does well in the camps. Then you got Cory Bradford. As a freshman and soph he was a jump shot specialist. ANd that is when he was good. Last year he had a knee problem so you can somehwat excuse last year but this year why does he play like a slasher. I see him cutting to the hoop and stuff. It may very well be the offense but that isn't Cory's game. If you want og back and check his stats during his fresh and soph year. I bet that everything was up, scoring, 3 pointers, 3 pt. %, fg %. The other weakness to their team is no true big guy to fill the middle on offense or on defense. If i was driving to the hoop and saw Archibald in the middle i would take it right at him. LAst year Griffen would at least make them think twice. The most important thing that is missing though is leadership. I have yet to see a player step up and chew someone out after they made a stupid play. No one does. They just brush it off and let the coach deal with it. Last year McClain told them when they screwed up. He was never even close to the best player on the court at any time or against any team last year but like Bill Walton once said "Sergio McClain don't even look at the stats it's all about leadership." They do have a chancce to turn it around and have some talent on their team but at the rate they are going, they may become the first preseason favorite to go to the NIT, thta i can remember.

kind of like usc/ucla last night this should be a very good game, really don't see ducks coming in to a tuff place to play and get a sweep but then again they did take it to the wildcats.

i think pride will show up in this game for the cards and hope the extend in the 2nd to cover the points.

in know means will this game be a blowout on either side the team that gets the win will be the one that holds on to the ball and makes the most free throws.

a big key in this game is for the cards to get the early lead and keep the ducks off balance throughout the game.

last thing cards want is to be chasing in the 2nd half on their home court a first half bet could be a nice play but have 1 already so i will pass.

thats it for the night
good luck.
