Gas/Oil Saveings

Anyone else see the amount of oil saved by just moving the per gallon amount 1.5 gallons on many of our trucks and SUV's. More then 200 million barrels a year. Thats one months worth here.
What have they been waiting for? By the way how's everyones gas price? Mind is up 24 cents in last to weeks. Now 2.59.

You can laugh at the idea of better fuel standards reducing our dependency on foreign oil if you want. I guess you like the Arabs more than Americans. To each their own.

Did you see last week's South Park, Fek? San Francisco was destroyed by "smug". The constant smug clouds over SF met up with smug from South Park (since everyone suddenly bought hybrids), and when LA's smug (mostly caused by a George Clooney speech) met both, it created a perfect storm of pompous self grandeur.

The oil guys who backed Bush for reelection, write the laws and you think they will pass anything that will cut into their profits? They made record profits last year and this year will be even bigger. Bush will just stand by and let you bleed.

$2.63 today what the heck is problem now. Did we have another hurricane. Or were the profits for oil companies dropping just a penny or two.

Smurphy you may be right. Make it $4.50 and half of America would park there autos every other day. And to many that would not be to bad a thing. You talk about inflation. Just think gas is double 5 years ago already.
