Thank you all for your help and concern. As per your suggestion(s) the info is below. We are heading up there this weekend to look for a house. Hopefully we can find something we like that's affordable. I am not going to be too picky about the job I take as we have bills and need an income. Something comparable to our salaries would be nice but not expected.

Some additional ideas:

If you haven't burned any bridges where you both work inquire as to whether any help may be available with relocating with your current or recent employers. ie...intercompany transfers

I really don't know much about Orlando but understand that Florida is a major tropical plant growing state. Your wife should have some ideas or should be able to quickly gather some info as to companies in the area.

You are both probably way ahead of me on this but you should be able to use the internet to look into the job market in Orlando and to also gather information regarding the economy and companies in the area. You have to start somewhere.

If you are who I think you are you probably already did this before you posted your original message! Hope so anyway.

I have some relatives in Tampa and some professional contacts in Lakeland. If I think of something I'll let you know.

Good luck!
