Several times last night, my jaw literally hit the floor from things I saw and heard. The trash TD in the closing seconds was frosting on the cake compared to some moments.
FAVORITE MOMENT: After halftime, the broadcast goes down to Eric Dickerson who is standing on the sidelines as the field reporter (what -- no leather gloves this time in Miami, Eric?). Dickerson says he "interviewed" Jim Mora coming off the field at the end of the first half and asked Mora about the performance his offensive line:
DICKERSON: "I asked Jim Mora, 'how do you think your offensive line is playing tonight?" (SIDE NOTE: The line was absolutely horrendous -- the Dolphins were crawling up Manning's ass on every play....it was beyond atrocious.)
"Mora said, 'GOOD."
(When I heard that, jaw hit floor)
Wait, it's gets better. Not realizing that Jim Mora is probably in NO mood to discuss the play of his team that is trailing 20-3 at halftime, and not cognizant of the fact this could be Mora's last halftime with this team, Dickerson takes the comments LITERALLY, that Mora actually thinks his OL did a good job.
DICKERSON: "Al, I have to disagree. The Colts offensive line has not played a good game tonight. They... (rambling worthless analysis omitted)."
It was classic Dickerson. Dickerson at his best.
