I have been very pleasantly surprised how Jim Harrick has been able to put this team together this early in the season. I could not get to their first game, but they were able to squeek by with a 1/2 point win. Tonight they played a seemingly over-rated Georgetown (ESPN poll--#15) team.
For the halftime players out there, I think the Bulldawgs should be an easy target all year in the second half if you are able to watch their games. I believe that they are very talented but undisciplined. They look like the kind of squad that will continue to fly higher or sink lower in the second based on their first half performance. If they are taking a beating in the first half, I would not look to this team to come storming back after the break. They are too young and without a true leader for the bounceback at this point.
I will continue to follow this team closely for obvious reasons. I will try and give a solid, unbiased approach to their upcoming games.
With their tallest player at 6'8", expect a lot of running and gunning. Not on the same level, but they seem to be a similar team to Arizona. They were a lot of fun to watch tonight because their shots were falling. They go cold, and the entertainment value could equal a thread named "Lock of the Year--Get on it now" getting flamed up to 45 posts on a Saturday afternoon.
Hopefully, I will be able to keep a bead on this team and help the forum out.
The other team I follow (Kentucky) is followed to closely nationwide to have any "close to home" information. I will do what I can with the Bulldawgs!
