Both games tonite are missing 2 key players.Add the fact that its the 1st game of the season,playing in NY,its hard to get a good angle on both games.
Georgia +5 over Texas
I realize everyone is on Texas.They are loaded.TJ Ford is like Mo" of Bama.Thomas the upstate NY kid is a monster in the paint.Mouton can shoot.Ivy is a mile from home.Missing tonite is the ex-North Texas star Erskin who is going to have a productive yr.Texas has Buckman who is a super frosh.
But this team could have problems shooting the ball from the perimeter.TJ cannot shoot like Mo.Also their defense was somewhat suspect lyr.
Georgia is missing their top rebounder in Daniels.But replacing him will be Wilkins the tranfer from NC St.Wait until he unleashes his game tonite.Dawg fans are just licking their chops.He will be a triple double threat.
Geo has Jarvis Hayes.He is a big time scorer.With these two guys out on the wings they will be hard to stop.
But I love their gds.Rashad Wright is one of the most underated pt gds in the country.2nd in the SEC in assits but never turns the ball over.He will impress you tonite.He controls the tempo and breaks down defenses.TJ will have his hands full all nite.Erza Williams is a scorer at the 2.He was 6th in the SEC in scoring with 16 pts a game.Jarvis's bro Jonathan Hayes is a solid power fd.Arnold,Dean and several other players gives then excellent depth.They are athletic and have speed.
Georgia's weakness is size.But Texas is not big either.Missing Daniels will hurt but I think Harrick will have his kids playing even with Texas.
Texas comes in ranked 5th in the country.I think georgia defense can give Texas troubles in transition.Although TJ gets all the ink Rashad will shine.Wilkins will slash and shoot.Texas could lose this outright.I'll grab the pts.

With Buchanon missing I'll really pass on this game.Marqu with Wade could be to much for Nova.Wade is big time.Diener at pt will be tough.Merrit is solid in the post but their secret weapon is 6'9 Jackson.I guess he has been dazzaling everyone in Milwaukee.
I really like Nova this yr.Jason Frazier is the best big man to come out of NY high schools in 25 yrs.An impact player on defense and a solid off. player.Nice soft touch,with 15 ft range.Can run the floor with gds.But he is a puppy still.Nova has Wright,Sullivamn and Snowden back.With 2 frosh that are exciting in Foyle and Ray.
Jay Wright emphasis defense and intensity.Lyr they turned the ball over.Ray is from St Raymonds and is so sweet.Sumpter is another newbie that can slash.
You have the old players mixed in with the new.It will take time for them to adjust.But missing Buchanon outside shot could be their downfall.
Going to pass on recommending this game.I'll take Nova for a small play.But thats because I want to cheer a little in this game.I love Jay Wright and have watched Jason for the past 3 yrs in the state finals.
