I said it before and I will say it again the pats are going to the superbowl. The ravens offense could have made a junior college defense look good. Hammer the 8 now before it drops under that. The pats are underrated and their defense is much better than the Ravens. This will be a war and 8 are you kidding me;)

Joe I think the pats will win this outright. I know the steelers have a great d but I think the steelers blitz will be slowed down. If the steelers all out blitz like they did against the Ravens they will get burned by the screens the pats run. That being said I think the pats offense will be very effective against the steelers defense. Also, I will be the happiest person around if Bettis comes back. The other backs are a lot more dangerous than bettis. I am hoping he plays. It may really throw the offense out of sink. It will be a war and I think the pats will come out on top. ;)

Guru,
The Steelers defense seemed to have played the screen pretty well, at least today. What worries most is the conservative play calling Cowher uses when the Steelers have a 2 score lead. When they get conservative, they look completely out of sync. My other fear is Mr. Inconsistency, Kris Brown. With him, EVERY kick is an adventure.
Regardless of the outcome, it's refreshing to see two teams who were overlooked in the preseason compete for the right to play in the Super Bowl.
Good luck to both of them.

On the lake. Setting hooks!
DON'T AGREE

DON'T AGREE

don't agree. just finished my early capping on this game. my formula has pitt controlling the time of poss. also has pitt getting the most turn overs and out rushing pats. while pats offensive ypp is good at home over the last few games at 12.78. its a different story on the road where they only sport a 18.3 ypp. the pats also do not create as many turn overs on the road as at home. they are a much better home team than a road team. throw in the fact that they have a young qb who will see the blitz
all day. and the fact that they will not be able to contain the mobility of stewart. my formuls projects PITT-26 PATS-13.
i'll go with that.

Brady will be rattled by this crowd. Winning a home playoff is one thing... Winning the AfC Championship away is another.

People have been waiting for Brady to fall apart all year. Hasn't happened yet and it won't happen next weekend. Say all you want to about him being young and inexperienced but he's played through alot of adversity after being thrown to the wolves after Bledsoe went down and he has led this team to a 12-3 record. He never folded when the Pats were down and he needed to drive them down the field TWICE (once to tie and once to win) despite worst possible conditions and despite the Raiders KNOWING he was passing on every play with an ice-coated ball.

I've watched this guy play all year. Trust me, he WON'T be intimidated by the Steelers.

Belichiks scheme will be the difference maker in this game.

Pats 24-17

Remove your heart from YOUR TEAM (Patriots)

Just like I thought my DOLPHINS had a slim chance to beat the lowly Ravens...

THE PATRIOTS are going to get demolished by Pittsburgh...

Ok yes the Pats have a better offense than the Ravens, but their "D" does not even compare !!

Kordell will literally SHRED the Pats "D" like ~~~

Oh say DONOVAN did to the THE OH SUCH GREAT BEARS "D" !

Say goodbye to the end of the season for the PATS !

Code red I totally agree with you. In the championship you can throw those damn stats and numbers out the window. It comes down to coaching. Out of all the playoff teams the pats and the rams have the best coaches. This is a huge defense. The pats will have a hell of a defensive scheme for the steelers. The ravens defense is nothing like it was last year. They were in the ball game all the way until the fourth quarter. Everybody has been doubting Brady and company but they have won 7 in a row. How many teams did that in the NFL this year. It is no fluke for anybody to win 7 in a row in the NFL. I said this before and I will say it again Mike Martz said the one team that played them the toughest this year was the Patriots. Sure it was at new england, but still for a coach the caliber of Martz to say that says something about the pats. The pats are for real and will go into Hines field and come away with a victory. I think it is a big mistake to lay 7 or 8 against the pats. Brady is the real deal. How many quarterbacks in the league can make the throws he did in that kind of weather. What do you mean the steelers handled the screen well against the Ravens. I do not think they even know how to run a screen. Throw the numbers out the window this game is going down to the wire. I also know stewart is very subject to the bonehead int. If he does this against the pats it will be good night. I am only hoping they will start the bus because amos is a hell of a lot better than the bus. You do not have to worry about the bus breaking one off. What is the history behind two number one seeds making it two the superbowl? History show one of them will get knocked off either the rams or the steelers. Good luck in whoever you choose. Please bet the line up higher for me!!!

dta6 look at the pats last10 games they have given up 10,11,24,17,16,16,9,13,6,13. Only once have they given up over 20 in the last 10 games. This was to the rams. One of the lowest scoring games for the rams. The steelers will not put up 20 against them and this means the pats will win. The steelers will not shred them the coach for pats has a history of shutting down any offense:eek: Eight points is just way to many to give. Like I said you do not win that many games in a row and not be good:nono:

That's right West Coast, let's keep hoping the misguided fools drive that line right up. Im loving every minute of it.

Ok yes the Pats have a better offense than the Ravens, but their "D" does not even compare !!

The Pats have allowed 17 ppg. The Ravens 16.6. Wow, HUGE difference there! The Pats have allowed a total of 4 TDs in their last SIX GAMES! You can't use the Ravens game against Miami as a measuring stick. My local pop Warner team can beat the pathetic Dolphins.

The Pats have played 3 tms in the playoffs all season

Yes 3 tms and played 3 of those teams 2x....looks to me like the Bears...playing a a so so schedule and then looking to dominate according to the wins and loses due to the schedule.....I cant, wont and dont see how the Pats can even compare to come within 10pts of the Steelers in Pittsburgh Just my view

The Steelers also only played 3 playoff teams, TB, the Jets and Baltimorex2. So how is that any different? Looks to me like the Bears,,,, playing a so-so schedule.

Oh, and if you wanna get technical, the Steelers only played a total of 4 regular season games against +.500 teams, while the Patriots played 5. Kinda blows your theory all to hell, don't it?
