Year to Date 35-36

Season Bank +$644

Yesterday 3-5 +$14

Week #1 + $843 (25-22)

Week #2 - $199 (10-14)

Thursday April 10th

Milwaukee vs. Pittsburgh
All 3 of the starts so far by Appier and Sheets have gone over the total. The first 2 games of this series have gone under though. Suppan did pitch great in his first start this year whereas Ben Sheets has looked below average. Pirates looked great in the first week and now look pretty bad dropping two to the brew crew. It would be easy to say that I don't think the Brewers can win this game, but Pitt hasn't played well against them. I think a better angle is the over in this game. Neither pitcher has pitched great against the other team. The bullpens have been used a lot in this series as well. Not much time to rest them in a morning game.
SHEETS is 2-3 when starting against PITTSBURGH with an ERA of 3.35 and a WHIP of 1.389.
SUPPAN is 2-1 when starting against MILWAUKEE with an ERA of 6.41 and a WHIP of 1.576.

Recommended Play OVER 9 +105

St. Louis vs. Colorado
The OVER barely creeped over last night to make both of the games in the series go over. The ball doesn't travel as well during the day as it does at night. It's still a potent ballpark though. Chacon looked absolutely great in his last outing against the diamondbacks beating them 2-1 at Coors Field. Chacon has never faced the Cardinals before and I think that at least early he will give them problems. Stephenson looked good in his last outing against the brewers giving up 1 run in 7 innings. Stephenson did pitch before a few times in Coors and got absolutely rocked. But, he has had an extra day to rest and I don't see Larussa leave him in there to get murdered after losing last night.
This year Chacon
ERA WHIP W-L GS IP IP/S R ER H HR BB SO W-L Units O-U 1.29 0.286 1-0 1 7 7.0 1 1 2 1 0 8 1-0 +1 0-1
This year Stephenson
1.29 0.857 1-0 1 7 7.0 1 1 4 1 2 2 1-0 +1 1-0
Both guys look great so far, I'll bite at the UNDER

Recommended Play UNDER 12.5 +100

Houston vs. Cinncinnatti
Not much of a write up for this game. Both games in the series have gone under, but now we throw these two cy youngs out to the mound today. Both teams have hungry bats and are salivating for the chance to face these two. Neither pitcher has seen much of the other guy, but it shouldn't factor much into this one as neither pitcher has great stuff.
So far this year, Graves has a 10.80 ERA and Robertson checks in with a paltry 14.4 ERA.

Recommended Play OVER 10 -120

Detroit vs. Kansas City
I cannot believe I'm considering wagering on a team that hasn't won a game yet (again), but I really think this is their best shot to get a win. Maroth is their best young pitcher. He didn't pitch great against the White Sox, but he did duel with Radke in the Twins on opening Day. The Detroit bats got of the shelf yesterday, and I really think this is their best shot to win and they know it. Asencio hasn't pitched well this year. He should have lost the game to the Sox and would have had they not given up 8 runs in the 8th inning.
ASENSCIO is 1-1 when starting against DETROIT with an ERA of 4.50 and a WHIP of 1.700
MAROTH is 2-0 when starting against KANSAS CITY with an ERA of 4.86 and a WHIP of 1.440.

Recommended Play TIGERS +107

Cubs vs. Expos
Once again, I find myself betting against the CUBS after they have burned me lately. Armas has never had great success against the Cubs, but part of that has to do with poor fielding and no offensive backup. Estes looked terrible in the opener while Armas looked good in a win against the Braves and a loss to the Mets.
ARMAS is 0-4 when starting against CHICAGO CUBS with an ERA of 5.26 and a WHIP of 1.325.
ESTES is 4-5 when starting against MONTREAL with an ERA of 3.38 and a WHIP of 1.473.
Although Armas hasnt fared well against the Cubs, I'll take his recent starts over what Estes has showed this year.

Recommended Play EXPOS +102

Florida vs. NY Mets
Glavine vs. Beckett. Should be a good matchup on paper, but I think both pitchers get hit good tomorrow.
GLAVINE is 10-8 when starting against FLORIDA with an ERA of 4.51 and a WHIP of 1.544
BECKETT is 0-1 when starting against NY METS with an ERA of 5.73 and a WHIP of 1.000.
I think both teams bats will wake up tomorrow. The Marlins games have been going over in the daytime more than their night games if I did my numbers right.

Recommended Play OVER 8 +100

Minnesota vs. Yankees
Pure Feel Play. Stats don't necessarily support this play, but I think value is there with the Twins at this price. Wells has been great against the Twinkies, but I like getting teams at a good price to avoid being swept in a rivalry series.

Recommended Play TWINKIES +175

Adding Atlanta + 109

DOUBLE PLAY

ROA is 0-2 when starting against ATLANTA with an ERA of 9.00 and a WHIP of 1.556.

Hodges makes his first big league start
Led the International League and Atlanta minor league system with 15 wins, and named Richmond's Most Outstanding Pitcher.
Ranked 5th in the minor leagues in victories...Tied for 2nd on the Richmond Braves' single-season win list behind Craig McMurtry (17 in 1982).

ON A SIDE NOTE, does every game at COORS FIELD go over in the 8th or 9th inning when i have the under.:nono:

I've gone mad. Crazy, should be institutionalized, but I guess that's all part of baseball. Had the under in St.Louis which failed miserably, had the over in the Pirates who had 4 runs in the first inning and then goose egged out, had to break 3 hours of sweat to squeek a bottom of the ninth inning run to help my over, watched the tigers and twinkies perform miserably, and am just having a no good rotten day.

SO IN AN EFFORT TO MAXIMIZE MY LOSSES
am adding a 3 team parlay into the mix for the night games. Would anybody care for this $100 before I give it to the man in a desperate attempt to hit a winner?
Anyway,
Stros, Blue Jays, White Sox 100/355.37

I played this play along with Madjacks Mil and went 0-2 on early games.

I know I am supposed to play dogs as they have better value but damn. I am a favorite kind of player in most sports and have to force myself to look at the dogs first. I guess it because I don't know baseball wagering at all, and I havnt cashed the dog tickets
very much. Its easy to get discouraged even this early in the season.

Anyways thanks for your plays. I always enjoy reading your write ups.
