Year to Date 14-9

Year to Date = +$577

Yesterday = 3-4 (- $75)

Thursday Games
Florida vs. Philadelphia
The first two games of this series have both gone over. Historically with two good pitchers throwing the day after a night game on the final day of the series I like to play the under in this spot. Philly just wants to get home quickly, and Florida should play better defense than it has the first two games (3 errors).
Mark Redman posted an 8-15 record with a career-best 4.21 ERA, making a career-high 30 starts for the Detroit Tigers last years, and I like the fact that the Phillies have never seen him before.
PADILLA is 1-1 when starting against FLORIDA with an ERA of 2.08
Should be a low scoring contest as Florida has shown little offense.

Recommended Play UNDER 8.5 -105

Cincinnatti vs. Pittsburgh
Here we have the modern free agency problem of a pitcher starting against his old team. Who knows who better, the batters or the pitcher. I could care less. Sure he will be pumped to face his old team and knows their habits, but they know him as well. Especially Kendall. Cincinatti lost their last two preseason games at home, their first two at home in the regular season, and have shown me nothing. Their bullpen has been abused and their offense is nothing special either. I will bet against cinncy til they get a win.
Jimmy Anderson for the Pirates last year went 8-13, 5.44 with 1cg in 25 starts and 3 relief apps.
FOGG is 0-0 when starting against CINCINNATI with an ERA of 2.57 and a WHIP of 0.714

Recommended Play Pittsburgh +101

Atlanta vs. Montreal
Who would have thunk that the Braves would lose their first two games at home to the lowly expos. But are they really that lowly. Probably not gonna be as bad as some teams this year, but probably won't contend for a playoff spot either. I don't think I would touch a side in this game, but as a pure feel play, think that the Braves bats will come alive. Sheffield, Jones, and Castilla have done nothing in the two games so far. I could see them coming alive in a big way. Expos will put up some runs against the workhorse Ortiz as well. Braves are pissed about being embarrassed the first two games of season and should hit the ball well against Vazquez.
VAZQUEZ is 5-7 when starting against ATLANTA with an ERA of 3.47
ORTIZ is 4-4 when starting against MONTREAL with an ERA of 3.67 and a WHIP of 1.349

Recommended Play OVER 8 +100

White Sox vs. Royals
I hate laying big chalk and this game is right up by my mendoza line of 160, but I'm willing to do it in this spot. The Sox have outhit the Royals 13-11 in this series but have no wins to prove for it. I'm sure they are overhyped as I live in Chicago (definitely not a fan) and here how great they will be. The fact remains that their pitching is middle of the road, but they can hit. You won't shutout this team to often, especially twice in a series. Paul Konerko has the best swing in baseball and I love watching this guy hit. WHY did the dogers get rid of him (sob story). Anyway, I can't see the Royals sweeping this series. Sox will get their hits, and Garland, while not great, is a better pitcher than Asencio.
GARLAND is 4-2 when starting against KANSAS CITY with an ERA of 3.35 and a WHIP of 1.373
ASENSCIO is 1-2 when starting against CHI WHITE SOX with an ERA of 3.57 and a WHIP of 1.529.

Recommended Play WHITE SOX -152

Tampa Bay vs. Red Sox
This game will be played as a rare double for me. I can't see any reason why this game doesn't have 15 runs scored in it. After the 16 inning game two nights ago, and all the relievers used last night, add that to the two people they are starting today, and you could see a slugfest. The Tampa Bay pitcher couldn't make my cousins little league team.
Nick Bierbrodt went to spring training as the Rays #4 starter, but struggled with control...He was 0-2 in three starts with a 27.00 ERA...Pitched a total of 3.2 innings...Faced 28 batters and allowed only one hit, but walked 12, hit four batters and threw two wild pitches while allowing 11 runs.
In his last two starts he pitched a combined 1.2 innings and faced 20 batters...Walked 12 allowed 11 runs, hit three batters and threw two wild pitches.
FOSSUM is 0-1 when starting against TAMPA BAY with an ERA of 9.65 and a WHIP of 2.036.
His team's record is 1-1 (+0.0 units) in these starts. The OVER is 2-0. (+2.0 units)

Recommended Play OVER 10 -105

Adding Dodgers under 8

Padre bats aren't hitting, and the dodgers have historically never hit great against the padres at home. Sorry for the short write ups on the last 2 games. Colorado looks strong though

Adding Baltimore -1.5 +155

Baltimore isn't necessarily the best against lefties, but Mora and Cordova will play to balance the lineup. I'm not sold on this Brian Anderson kid for the tribe:
Anderson is 3-3 with a 5.60 ERA against BAL

Baltimore bats should be able to touch him up, and I think Helling will shine in his debut with Baltimore. Been a year out of the American League, so the AL batters haven't seen him for a while.

Same can be said for Anderson, but he had a rough last year and spring.

Recommended Play Baltimore -1.5 +155
