I've got a big pain in my eyes this morning, it might have sumthin to do with the six pack I found beside the couch last night... or it might have more to do with the pathetic show I was forced to watch.
Yep it was prime time on a Sunday, all the chores were done, the lawn was cut and a few karate chops quickly relinquished the remote from my six year old.
The wife was in a good mood so she even brings me my slices of New York style Panago.
This is just how life should be.
Click, on goes HNC. It's not VAN/DET but hey OTT/PHI should be a good match. It's in Philly, so it's gonna be noisy. Both teams are really hungry to get through this round right? Both teams have sumthin to prove , right?
I sat through most of the first,... damn the period took me three beers just to make it interesting. Thats a big investment for a married man. You gotta remember us nuclear family guys are usually on a quota in the beer department. (unless you are smart and keep an emergency six pack in the work shop ;) ) At the rate the game was going I was going to have to start on some home improvements just to make it through the game.

It's gotta be something to do with those panty wearing cuddle bunnies called the Senators This team is single handedly killin playoff hockey. OK OK Fisher had a thrilling breakaway/goal.

This was two teams totally petrified to lose the games. Tape to skate passes were the norm as both teams squeezed the sap from thier sticks.
Every time a player got whacked or chopped or smacked he sprawled on the ice like a..... like a..... (sob!)....... soccer player. Cruel words I know, but painfully true.
Bobby Clarke is probably rolling over in his grave..... oh right he's not dead,... just in a coma. Get rid of the cheque cashers Bobby and get some hungry kids... while you're at it get rid of yourself, you're killin the team.
Now I'm not a huge Philly fan, I just love hockey. I wish was able to watch some last night. Well at least I know how to make Lego Bionicles now.

I guess maybe my palette was just tainted from watching teams like Vancouver and Montreal hang thier guts out to win. Young teams who would do anything to win. OTT and PHI looked like they were doing nothing and hoping not to lose!

Glad I got that off, I'm feeling better now.....

Could be I've got Detroit in Vancouver to watch tonight.

A couple surprise losers in the playoffs for many: DET, and NYI.
Here's one of my favourite playoff stats. Shots blocked. It's an automatic meter of how bad a team wants to win.

The teams presently at the bottom of the shots blocked total list:
Islanders and Detroit.
These guys are going to need to decide, what's more important... your body, or the cup.

Basically it's that simple

I watched the first game.

The only time I really got excited was when I found that I was out of anti-depressants after I had used up all my No-Doze.

Just BOARING hockey and the NHL in all their wisdom makes all the other ones afternoon games.

I don't know what's with Hasek but he just doesn't seem to pick the puck up off wrist shots. The OT goal maybe we'll say he was screened but Naslund's goal in the last game, he saw it all the way and for some reason read it the wrong way.

Liken the over tonight, hope we get to watch more of Mtl and less of Ott., though the next one in the Corel Centre should be a good one (I hope).

I love Dom he's a nutty fella, that accent just adds to his cache.

You know what kills me, last game all the announcers on HNC are talking about how everybody knows about Doms weak glove,.... Huh? Fisrt i've heard about it, and first time it's been babbled on air.

Just goes to show everybody likes to kick a Goalie when he's down. (I know I always make the effort). Could be why my carreer total stitches count is higher than my goal total.

OK, guess I better contribute to the whole cappin thing:

1st play was CAR/NJ over 4.5 (a little late to post, I know)

My next play:

MON/BOS 1st period under 1.5 goals (-180) 400/222.24

hmmmm

I guess 6 goals in the first is more than 1!!!
Jose why hast thou forsaken me!?

And Carolina couldn't even manage one goal!!

Well I might as well add another bomber:

I'm on Van/Det under 5.5

This is becoming an exercise in suckitude.
