Getting close to one of the biggest upsets in Pro Sports history........

https://www.madjacksports.com/forum...-7th-to-21st&p=4454238&viewfull=1#post4454238

Aslan Karatsev is two matches away from pulling off one of the biggest upsets in Pro Sports history, it got me thinking about what are the biggest upsets of all time?

If Aslan Karatsev wins the Aussy Open it won't be the biggest upset, but it will be close, here are others that I can think of.....

- Leicester City winning the Premier League in 2016 at 5,000-1 odds

That has to be the biggest upset in Pro Sports history, how can you top that one?

- Ben Curtis winning 2003 British Open at 550-1 odds

He came out of nowhere to win that Major!

- Si Woo Kim winning the 2017 PLAYERS Championship at 500-1 odds

He shocked pretty much everybody with that win.

- Mark Edmondson winning the 1976 Australian Open at 450-1 odds

He still holds the record as the lowest-ranked winner of a Grand Slam.

Any other massive upsets that Madjackers can think of?

Leicester definitely, after all it was season long story not just one tournament or game/match.

Nothing away from others mentioned above.

had to dig this one up:

What is the biggest football bet ever won?

The biggest football bet ever won came back in 2001 when Mick Gibbs, a roofer from Staffordshire, landed a ?500,000 windfall after placing 30p on a bet with odds of 1.6 million to one.

The 15-fold accumulator had a 0.0000006 per cent chance of coming in and consisted of a host of outright winners as well as individual matches across 2000 and 2001.

Gibbs correctly predicted the winners of all four professional English football leagues and the Conference - as the National League was known at the time ? as well as the correct winners of cricket?s County Championship and rugby union?s Premiership.

By May 2001, the bet only needed Bayern Munich to beat Valencia in the Champions League final and, after a 1-1 draw, the Germans won a marathon penalty shootout to ensure Gibbs won the bet.

I can rememember Mick Gibbs posting in here in early May of 2001. He was asking the board if he should hedge his bet.

Buster Douglas's name has become synonymous with gigantic sporting upsets since his remarkable KO win over Mike Tyson 30 years ago.

Douglas was a 42-1 underdog against Tyson when he shocked the world the first time around. Tyson was undefeated at 37-0 with 33 knockouts.

I remember i played Douglas after i saw how fat/soft and out of focus Tyson was before the match.
Wasn't much but i remember that match and win.

Formula1 is one sport that gives (used to give) you crazy odd wins every now and then. Not lately though...

And of course...

Yes that was an upset for sure, but nowhere close to others that have been posted in this thread.

Yep that was a 100-1 Oscar winner that you hit, impressive stuff right there:00x15

For the record I think that was the biggest longshot any Madjacker has ever posted. Could be wrong but I don't think anybody on here has posted a winner better then 100-1 odds.

For those that don't know Snafu bet on Ex Machina to win the Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects (2014) and at 100-1 odds.....it won:scared
