Line Rams -10.5
over/under 45.5

THis is a huge test for the Giants, as the Rams havent really been challenged this year with the exception of the Eagles game. In order for NY to have a chance they will have to play Rams WR's straight up and send their great Front 4 after Warner, If they can blitz at least 60% of the time and use a linebacker or safety to spy on Faulk , I think they can have success. Yes the Rams have a good offensive line but NY will send Strahan, K Holmes, Armstead, Griffin and Barrow after Warner, expect Warner to get knocked around, but in the End the Greatest Show on Earth will continue their roll.
Rams 31 Giants 21
Play on NYG +10.5
over 45.5

Tease Giants +17.5 and over 38.5 *****

I think the Giants remember the way the Rams slandered them last year; they went on about they had just too much speed for the Giants. Maybe they do, but you have to think the Giants won't lack motivation this week. The Rams have a couple things going against them: the short week after the MNF game, and they were just 2-6-1 ATS after a win last season.

No way would I take the Giants this week . . . and I think this is a week to look at dogs for sure. I posted this 80% system play last 25 occurances (according to one handicapping database) in a seperate thread, but it will soon be covered up and impossible to find.

Here's a link to it. http://www.madjacksports.com/ubb/Forum16/HTML/004675.html

1) Giants' DBs vulnerable, playing into StL's strength.

2) Giants rarely in the game, let alone win, vs top teams since their resurgence under Fassel.

3) Giants in road divisional sandwich, off hated Redskins with 4 straight divisional games upcoming, starting with a Monday nighter vs Philly that will probably go a long way toward deciding the division title. StL has no lookahead (Jets).

4) Only 2 times these teams played (i.e., same or similar personnel) St Louis won by scores of 38-24 and 31-10. They can score on this NY defense.

5) Giants have a one-game lead in a very weak conference and will not be desperate.

6) The angle described by NCU does not show the numbers he mentions when tested against my database. Would like someone to check the results I posted in NCU's thread.

I rarely like a fav, but this one has a lot going for it.

I Like the Giants here. Monday night flop rule in affect. I expect the rams to be hung over in the first half. I think the Giants will actually be ahead at halftime. Collins could have a big day against an overated yet improved Ram defense. I like the over here. I got it at 45. Rams 28 Giants 24. I love it in a teaser Giants +16.5 Over 39. We'll see

very good point on the philly look ahead. they have always managed philly, but can't take anything for granted.

philly should be making major adjustments for that game, trying to reverse the trend. they got caught napping vs. ariz., and now it becomes very important for philly as well.

it is of extreme importance for the giants to win that one, as philly has been narrowing the point gap at home vs the giants.

another plus for st louis.

Hey guys,

As usual, I think there is to much analysis going on here. Here are the BASIC facts of the game.

St. Louis- Best team in the NFC maybe the league
St. Louis- Best offense by far in the league
St. Louis - At home on the rug
NYG- Average defense
NYG- pitiful offense

Playing on Sunday after a Monday night game..

Who cares!!!! St. Louis barely broke a sweat against a pitiful Lions team. St. Louis could have scored 60 if they had wanted to.

All this basic info leans to a St. Louis big time win. Do with it what you choose.

I dont mean to start anything here or to upset anyone but to me 4 of those 5 statements are opinions, not facts.

Anyways, I think this game is the easiest pass of the week. I could see the Rams absolutely destroying the Giants but I could see the Giants keeping it very close and maybe pulling out a win as well.

last year when faulk played and got his 100+, st louis was in. opposing teams soon discovered they could neutralize them by shutting down faulk and it worked.

now faulk is not a big of an issue, averaging under 100, at least the last couple of games, and st louis still winning with ample margins.

this is a tough game for the giants, and knowing st louis comfort zone to be in the 21 point range, that is the kind of game i would expect. guesstimate: 35-10.

Two years ago when the Rams were clicking on all cylinders, that teaser hit every week, except the last where they were upset by Philly in a very high scoring game. I think the Rams are playing at least equal to if not better than two years ago. The gaints should score some points, but not enough to keep up. Think Rams straight up is a solid play too. good luck...

With the additions af Will Allen and Will Peterson the Giants are much more prepared to play the Rams this year than last year.

I think the Giants are going to blitz, blitz and blitz again sending the Cbs and safties while the Lbs drop back and cut off the slant pass. Don't get me wrong Barrow and Armstead will blitz also but the defensive packages will be complex. Kenny Holmes is the key because if he over commits like he did against the Broncos Faulk will be running forever.
The only way to beat the Rams is to get to Warner. Don't forget, Warner has been frenquenly concussed.
Thats my prediction: Warner = concussion
Giants come from behind and win 28-27

Amazing game, its a shame the wrong team won.
The Giants surprised me with the lack of blitzing but why blitz if you can get to Warner with 4 people. The Giants had their chances but couldn't get that last field goal to close out the Rams.
The Giants are definately one of the elite teams in the NFL but will need to improve offensively if they want to go back and have a chance of winning the superbowl.
