very sad to see a long time hero of mine saying he doesn't have much more time to be with us. He has been told he has cancer in his pancreas, liver,adrenal glands, and brain. Charlie, you will be missed but never forgotton. Give em' Hell

Forgive my ignorance.....but who are you talking about? It is always tragic to hear of a situation like this. I recently lost a relative the same way.

tchism: Charlie Pell, former coach of the Gators, you know......the best defense money could buy. He was the coach that got the Gators in a little trouble over some players being paid. Did nothing more than any other program was doing, just used him as an example. This was back in the day when the Gators couldn't touch your Bulldogs of Georgia and he actually put a very good team on the field, especially on the defensive side.
