good point phenom, but i didn't want to be accused of drinking the sec kool-aid. they are overrated you know.
With the loss of Troy Smith I have a hard time believing they are going to be top 5

Any top 5 projections for next year should exclude LSU. Losing 4 players to the 1st round of the draft will hurt. Having Les Miles as HC will also hurt:mj07:

First of all i am a diehard auburn fan and i always hope for the tigers to beat ass but...
#1: auburn gets if not the least, 2nd least level of respect in the SEC... maybe vandy gets little less respect. So i dont see us being in the top 5. we dont have a name like Carnell in the backfield. (even though lester is going to be disgusting next year if he stops doing drugs)
and #2: we cant win with a top 5 preseason ranking. its hella jinx in the last few years. i hope we're a nice looking 6 or 7
