Nowhere close to as good as the original, but in all fairness it is next to impossible to live up to that expectation. The movie is still worth watching, but I will admit, I expected better. Decent flick, just a tiny bit of a let-down for those that loved the original.

Gladiator is an awesome flick, shame on you for not watching an absolute classic.


And as mentioned above, Part 2 is worth watching, as long as you lower your expectations a bit, you'll enjoy Part 2.

It's on HBO currently. Maybe I'll check it out this weekend.
