I just put 1 unit to win .5 unit on the 11.5 (-200) over on the rounds.

The first match I bet JOhnson by decision cause that was the only way I saw him winning. I scored the fight for Tarver, but took the money on my win anyway.

Both guys are tough and will be in shape. If Tarver tries to be a power puncher, I still don't think he can stop Glen. maybe drop him, but otherwise I don't see a stoppage in this fight.

anybody think this will not go the distance.
I think Tarver should do enough to win another decision, but these judges like to award in-effective agresiveness a lot more lately. Tarver landed the cleaner punches and more of them. I thought they were just as hard as Johnson's as well.

I love real championship fights like this past weekend. I get pumped up and the butterflies start rumbling. for the real title. lt heavyweight championship.

I also played Johnson by 12 round decision in the first fight. Like you, I played it strictly on value. The +700 was way too high to pass up knowing that if Johnson won, thats how it would happen.

For the rematch I already played Tarver -155 and Johnson by decision at +270 as a small hedge.

As tough as Johnson is, I think Tarver can hurt him. According to Tarver he will be much more aggressive in this fight, which is why I like Tarver. As you mentioned Tarver landed the cleaner harder shots in the first fight, he only "lost" b/c he wasn't as aggressive as Johnson.

Tarver thought he was winning the fight as it went along the first time, this time he will have to wonder if the judges are giving him the close rounds which should drive him to be more aggressive.

Tarver was also way over confident for the first fight. Coming off the quik and easy KO of Jones who we later found out was completely shot, gave him a false sence of dominance. And the long layoff before the Johnson fight didn't help either, esp since he only fought one round beating Jones.

Anyway
Tarver has come back down to earth since then and now he doesn't have a title around his waist, which has to bother him. I think he will be very motivated to prove he deserved the high praise he got after the Jones fight. He will also be fired up to prove Johnson didn't really beat him the first time, that he's the better man, and the best lt hvy.

The only thing that bothers me about playing Tarver here is the hand issue. He claims he hurt it pretty bad in the first fight, I hope its completely healed or Johnson's hard head will aggrivate it for sure.

I've done some looking, but I haven't seen any quotes from Tarver or anyone else concerning the recovery of his hand.

Anyone else hear anything?

I did. I'll delete mine as we don't need mutiple threads on the same subject. I'm leaning towards
Tarver based on the motivational aspect also. I just don't have enough info to make an intelligent, informed decision; perhaps you do. There just isn't much in the media, print or cyberspace about this fight.

I still feel strongly about the over. If Tarver throw's a lot of power punches early and doesn't get JOhnson out of there, then he will be tired late. I still think both guy's will fight the same way. at least I hope so. Johnson won't score a one punch kayo. Glen can take punishment. should be good. edge to Tarver to win for sure in my opinion since he won (!) the first fight. unless he throw's himself out early which wouldn't be smart. He didn't even try to bomb Roy Jones early in the 2nd fight. Just looked for the opening. I don't think Glen will give him the time to look, he will be on his chest. So a good hard 12 round fight again, I feel.
