I agree Golata may hit the guy in the nuts more times than he hits him in the head.

Seriously they would have to pay me large to get in the ring with Golata.I would be willing to fight Tyson before this guy.

Golata is a train wreck waiting to happen.

I might put some money on Golata being disqualified.

Olympic didnt have odds on this fight yesterday. Havnt checked today.

A dq is a loss, just ask Roy Jones Jr.
whose only career loss was a dq.

OK thanks.

A dq is just one more way they beat us out.

I would really like to place a wager on Golata but seriously he is a nutcase and if he gets mad he will not listen to his corner.

I think the under 5.5 is my only consideration.

He should knock this guy into next week in the first round.

The guy he is fighting looks to me to be easy pickings. They want Golata to work back in gradually.

One thing about Galota he always is in great shape.

And he is strong like bull.

.......................................................

Lets just take a look see at this for a minute.

As my firsts inclination is the KO early by Golata,

it appears that the line is set rather high.

So that guy in the Sports wagering tower that makes most of these line setting decisions is sitting up there thinking, well everyone and his mama will be on the under.

Better make the under worth it if Golata loses.

I wish I knew more about this guy Golata is fighting. I am going to go and look. I am willing to bet information will be few on Golatas opponant.

Hey BOX..... if you know anything about this guy Brian Nix
please post it.

thanks

This is all I can find and I looked hard yesterday also.

...............................................................................

"Poland's greatest - but most frustrating - heavyweight ever Andrew Golota has announced he is to make a comeback after almost three years out of the ring.

Golota was last seen being pelted with drinks cartons as he exited the ring following an abject two-round surrender against Mike Tyson in October 2000. It was the lowest point of a career that promised so much but was foiled by the erratic temperament of an otherwise formidable contender.

He ended the career of modern great Riddick Bowe by handing the American two vicious beatings, only to lose on disqualifications both times, having repeatedly punched below the belt.
He was then overawed in a world title challenge to Lennox Lewis and blown away in the opening round.

He rebuilt well and clambered back to world contention, but the demons resurfaced against Tyson and it seemed Golota would never fight again. After all, would any promoter or paying punter stump up the cash for such an unpredictable figure?

But time is a healer, it seems, and the former WBC number three contender is ready to step back into the ring at 35 - an announcement that has sparked considerable interest.

The first step comes on August 14 in Dover, Delware, when Golota meets New Yorker Brian Nix, who looks a fairly safe return test, but who is a man with a reputation for beating faded big names.

His record, at 18-10, with just three inside schedule wins, does not look too intimidating, but he has beaten older versions of Mitch Green, Phil Jackson and Tim Witherspoon."

Out of Nix 10 losses he has only been
ko'd 4 times. And out of those four ko's
only two have come before the 5th round,
one of those was the first fight of his career!

Golata is coming off a three year layoff,
and even in his prime he couldn't ko
Michael Grant, who has a very weak chin.

I wouldn't lay the wood on the under!!!
May put a small play on the over,
5DIMES has the over at 4.5 +110.

I too wouldnt play the UNDER........maybe its b/c I was burned on the UNDER this past weekend on the Freitas fight, and everyone i talked too said Freitas should KO him in the first couple of rounds and look what happened, one of the best fights of the year........so since this guy is just now coming back into the ring, id lay off the UNDER........it very well may take a few rounds to wear the rust off..........
