Another away game at the Rose Bowl for the Stars & Stripes, but the US hasn't lost in 11 games against Mexico (not counting the last Gold Cup when Mexico beat an American "C" team with 2 players that will ever see the national team again). Mexico appears to have more class than the US, but they've always had that and as the games become more serious, Mexico's form has dipped.

I expect the US to look the best they've looked all tournament in their counter-attacking style that they're more accustomed to but have not had a chance to employ . . . but, Mexico will hold most of the possession and if they can get a goal and force the US to pressure them, the huge speed advantage that Chicharito has over the US back line will become more pronounced and it could be a 2- or 3-goal victory for Mexico

USA (Gold Cup) +221
Mexico (Gold Cup) -1? +420
risking 1 unit each

I took Mexico for max stakes to win it all at the begining of the tourney at +135 + small bets on Jamaica & Canada  . Having serious doubts. I think if the US can clog things up in midfield with bigger stronger Jones/Bradley and make this a low scoring game, the US wins it likely in extra time as Mexico wilts playing its second 120 min game in a few days vs a physical US team. Honduras roughed them up and frustrated them on Wed, they are missing 5 bench players, have some banged up players and are small to begin with. If it goes to goal kicks, US huge advantage with Howard.

My big bet may be to just cancel out my original bet on the tourney. Add to it, that I wont even derive any pleasure if Mexico wins me money and its gotta be the USA. I'd say if you are going to play the US, wait till close to game time to play as I believe there's gonna be a lot more money coming in on Mex than the US. Odds have already gotten better.
