I thought that on an each way bet each of the top 5 pay 25% (unless otherwise specified). So the Watson bet alone would pay 62.5 units.
???


One other each way question:

When a poster specifies he's betting each way, does that mean that he's betting 1 unit as a straight win play, and a 2nd unit as an each way (25% for 1st 5 places) bet?

Scooter:

(1) e.w. bets are graded as 1/2 stake on Win portion, and 1/2 stake on e.w./place portion.

(2) Couples led at -6, and 5 players, including Watson, were at -5. So on the e.w. portion, there was a tie for 2-3-4-5-6, and under the "dead heat" rule, 4/5 was a winning wager, but 1/5 was not a winning wager, hence 62.5 units x 4/5 = 50 units x 1/2 stake = 25 units, more or less.


Stan: Thanks for your efforts every week, but especially when the wagers get cranked up in the big events . . . and great stuff with your strategy of sticking with a single top play.

The total is correct, it is just the wins-losses that are not reported properly ... it should read: 8-5; +2.00 units

Yes, it did take a little longer than usual, but that is the sign of a busy forum, so that's good
