Golf today then drive to a wedding....question to the group

Going to be in the 50's today so golf in an hour, then have to go to a wedding of a friend's son. Who in the heck schedules a wedding a week before Christmas???? It is not so much the wedding but it is an hour and a half outside Atlanta, at 6PM, and no hotels within 25 miles of the place for people to be able to party and not have to drive. Place is a Kiwanas building. Am I a humbug for that or is anyone thinking the same thing?

Easy for me; I hate weddings, and I would just send my regrets on the card with the gift. In the grand scheme of things, nobody will care that u didn't make it (not being a dick at all, but if you aren't family, just don't go). Problem solved, and u can enjoy other more fun things.

I wanted to do that but he is a friend , my ENT Doc, and his son goes to Law School with mine at Georgia, so it is kind of difficult to do. We went, it was actually pretty fun, and just got home. Thanks for the idea though, Clint.
