Was he just trying to wrestle him to the ground and #36 got in the way which changed the direction the tackle went?

I'm not defending him, but it's hard to tell intent in a situation like this. If that was open field with no contact with anyone else then yea, out of line. As it is, it's hard to tell.

There was 2 minutes left in the game and Bama was up by 32 points:shrug:

Exactly, this guy is third string, lucky enough to make the travel team. You actually think he premeditated the move/tackle he was going to do when he got in the game during mop-up time? Give me an effen break. Was it over-zealous, possibly, but bad sportsmanship, no.

you know how big a Bama fan I am and watching the game I immediately said he needs to be thrown out of the game

Poon ... as far as 3rd string and travel team ... this kid is a beast and future star ... Bama is THAT deep :0074

No doubt he is a beast and would be a starter on any other team, 6'7 and 290 lbs :scared

You really think he planned to do that move?

What's with the planning scenario
Bama had a team down by 32 points and this smuck back slams a lesser opponent.....Bad Sportsmanship in my book. Why not just tackle the guys and bring him down. That was uncalled for........Period. :0008

he was trying to tackle him. I'm pretty sure at no point he thought, 'hey, this would be a great opportunity to flip him over my head and bring him down like and old-school wrestling move as opposed to just tackle him normally!'.

Again, over-zealous and caught up in the moment, definitely, and even deserving of a 15-yard penalty. The score and the lesser opponent stuff, give me an effen break. They weren't playing a junior high team, they are playing a conference opponent and this guy, a non-starter, whatever depth he is, got in the game and was playing and excited. Get over it.

We will have to agree to disagree, see dun's comments above. I like you Mr Poon, and I will exit this discussion as such, not worth the debate :0008

I agree... except Fairley was never in a game when Auburn was ahead of there opponent by 32 points. Maybe he is an up and coming Fairley in the making:shrug: Just thought it was bad sportsmanship, like the way Fairley played JMO :0008
