Tim Welke is behind the plate tonight. This guy might be the biggest "home team" ump EVER. This year alone the guy is 13-1 in favor of the home team.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE.......... For his career as an ump, home dogs who are +175 or more with him behind the plate are 7-0. Haven't lost one game.
Now, Kevin Brown has been one of the best pitchers in the league this year and previous years, but this line with this ump is outta whack.
I am a major dodger fan, but I've watched about 80% of their games this year and it is no secret they can't hit. If Bernero can keep the dodger offense away (he's averaging only 1.16WHIP) the tigers might be able to get the upset.
With this info, way too much value to not take a shot with the tigers.
