I always wondered about the part in no country for old men where Javier bardem walks out onto Kelly macdonald`s porch near the end of the movie... he immediately checks the bottom of his boots like he stepped in dog shit.......were they trying to imply that he stomped macdonald to death?.....I mean,we know he killed her....but you don`t check your shoes when you "leave " a house......

was that the implication?....it was an obvious action and I`m thinking that it was...

I interpreted as checking for blood indicates to the audience that he killed her but I'd have to rewatch the scene before I'd stand behind that statement.

Earlier in the movie, when he killed Woody Harrelson, he lifted his boots just before the blood was about to get to him. I have no doubt that is what was going on after he killed the wife.
