If that prediction is even remotely true, why the hell are we sheltering in place? If >50% of the population is going to get it in two months anyway? My guess is his guess is way inflated, unless the transmission rate is much higher than suspected AND the fatality rate is much LOWER than expected. Both of which I've read are possible, but not certain.
Much like with the economy or sports betting eventually some monkey on his typewriter is going to correctly predict exactly what happens. But we won't know who for months.

Missouri has 39 cases. Comparatively good. I worked for a week in Sacramento three weeks ago at UC Davis Hospital. Local news was set up across from my hotel as they checked in one of the first corona cases there at the facility.
I flew back and three days later was sick as shit with fever and aches.Turned out to be the flu and then I got a pneumonia chaser. Pneumonia is contagious (which I did not know), so I am holed up, looking through my old baseball card collection. Guess I'll head out once the beer -- and other libations -- run low.
