OK, I usually don't like to bet on weird stuff like the grammies, but I found a bet that seems too good to pass up.

The bet is for Norah Jones to win best new artist. I don't see why she wouldn't get this as she is in the Song of the Year and ALBUM OF THE YEAR catagories as well. Wouldn't this indicate that she is a definite front-runner.

Now, I have two online books that I play, sportsbook.com and Millenium ... here's where the value is:

At Sportsbook, Jones is 1-8 to win
At Millenium, Jones is 5-2 to win

Doesn't that seem like a really huge discrepency, or am I just getting a phenominal deal at Millenium? Has anyone seen these lines elsewhere, and where do they compare?

I am looking at other books and seeing other odds:

Olympic has Jones at 1-5
BetWWTS is at 1-4

Thanks, by the way, I have 3 Units to win 7 1/2 at Millenium already, may house it when the time comes closer.

Thanks for all thoughts and input.

Good Luck to All

This is probably the catagory in which if any of the five win, there wouldn't be too many angry people:

Avril Lavrene 4-1
Ashanti 3-1
John Mayer 12-1
Michelle Branch 5-1

The only others I see winning are Mayer and Branch, but Jones has the Album of the year, song of the year, record of the year nominations Avril Laverene is the only one with one nomination in any of those catagories (song of the year) .. so I just think this is like a power play in hoops, too much going for Jones, even if she doesn't win the "Major" Awards, she looks like she is a level above the rest of the nominees in this catagory

Yeah, what the hell is a wonderland anyways? I like to think of the female form as a playground more so than a wonderland ... as for the other nominees, I would get with all of 'em for sure, waiting till Avril was 18 of course, I'm no R. Kelly .... Still think Norah's the bet ... thanks for the responses.

Thanks for pointing this out. I got down for a nice amount last night. I also have screen shots of customer service saying that line is CORRECT. No error by the linesmaker. With all the crap thats went down recently i'm hanging onto that for a few months!!! :D

...lol...ain't that the truth Trampled...

btw, read a great Zep story the other day....they were playing at a stadium in front of about 25,000 people doing "Stairway" and Bonzo actually fell asleep during the long drum-less Plant meanderings at the start and had to be woken by the drum tech after missing out on crashing in when he was meant to....just fuggin dozed off and snored thru the first 3 mins or so... :D

I just saw it ... good to know it looks like I was on the right side, was periodically putting $$ on it, got about 5 1/2 units on it at 5-2

Was hoping to add about 5 more, not at 1-5 though, happy with what I got, hope everyone reading got some too

Good Luck to All

I wouldn't know Nora Jones from Meatloaf. I have no idea who she is, what she sings, or how many rappers she's banged. But I do know I picked up a sweet $200, laying a dime at 1-5 on this lock. Very nice tout, my freind.

Thanks All

Thanks All

Thanks, glad I got my 5 units down to win 12 1/2 before the odds moved ... Nolan, sorry you couldn't get a dime to win $2500 when it was at 5-2 ... oh well, a winner's a winner ... now we have to find some Oscar deals out there.

Good Luck to All
