the guy took a lot of heat on this board from some very solid, respected cappers and the like. for picking the patriots to be a playoff team. Nick had to be the only "bonehead" on this site to do so. great call Nick!! fwiw, i had them for 6 wins.

I remember Nick's prediction very well. When I first read it at his page (I think the Pats were 1-3 at the time), I sat there shaking my head in disbelief, saying to myself "what is this guy thinking?"

Yep, excellent call, I was dead wrong about the Pats. I still don't think they would have this many wins if not for Brady's emergence..but at worst, maybe 1 or 2 less wins, but regardless, very good call by Nick.

Hoops does bring up a good point about Brady. The gist of my reasoning was an inproved rushing attack with Smith, an improved rush defense with Cox and Farrior, a weak schedule and a break out year from Bledsoe. Obviously I was dead wrong about Bledsoe and nobody could have predicted that Indy and Buffalo would utterly collapse as they did to give the Pats an even easier schedule than it looked on paper.
Anyway, enough about this. Let's look forward to this last week and the playoffs and try to make some money.to take to Vegas for the Super Bowl weekend (I hope at least one other hockey gambler will be joining me at Sunset on that Saturday).

Hey guys give me my credit also, I also predict a 2-14 season for my Bills, damn Jets killed me, just kidding, I believe Pats will get on the AFC championship. By the way, does Brady case should open coach?s eyes? I believe there is a lot of talent on some teams bench like Giants with Palmer, Atlanta with Vick, SD and Brees, and Raiders with Tuiasosopo, and IMHO Miami with both Lucas and Josh.
Hey one of you could change your name to Zebra as in striped shirt. If you do I would stay away from Nolan for awhile.
