On the course!
I'll cut to the chase:

I grabbed the pack at +3 this morning.

I will give you the poop Thursday, but the Reader's Digest version is this:

Green Bay, quite simply, is the better team. This line can only go one way, IMO.....in Tampa Bay's favor. I am not sure that Green Bay will cover this number, but I am pretty sure the number will not get back to +3.

I can always take Tampa at a better number on the buy back.

Winning 4 in a row is no easy feat, and playing at Tampa isn't either.

As I said, I will give you some facts and oppinion on Thursday.

YYZ I love my/our Packers. But if I cant play them. I have to just watch. We did not look that good last week, till we got those two gifts start of second half. I know we took it into the end zone. We are doing that better then last year. Our D is starting to look as good as the best ones. But second week on the road going for 4 & 0. I have to just watch. It will take all the energy I have to pull for the win. Boy what fun to have a team going for 4 in row.

dave,

I know what you are saying. I just took the +3, because if I do take the Pack later in the week, the line will be less than +3.....if I don't like the Pack, I buy back the bet at a better number, and get a shot at a middle.

Little peek at the game: I don't think the Bucs score a whole helluva lot come Sunday.

I agree that GB is the better team but +3 looks a heck of a lot like a sucker bet to me. The Pack will not lose many this year but I think this is one of them. GB has yet to face a consistent QB and Johnson will be going downfield more, I think, with Dunn out. Pack +3 seems too easy in this situation and that is why I am staying away.

There is no doubt in my mind we can play D with these guys. T B coach Nick go down field. Maybe. But coaches have away of being there ownselfs. This guy plays it close to the vest for 3 grts. Just don't know what 3.
He will try to run first, then short passes. I mean he starts every game same way. So if he starts going deep early. Well that would be change.

I say the Pack gets crushed as the Bucs finally get their offense churning. Might want to take a look at last year's game...

Last year, GB split with TB 1-1.
@ TB 20 GB 15
@ GB 17 TB 14(OT)

There was no blowout in either game, as both road teams either were tied or led in both games.

Bucs offense = Dunn

Why would this week be the week they "finally" get their offense churning?

Why would you bet on that proposition?

there is a perceived marked improvement on g.b.'s part, and a slightly weaker t.b. this will be g.b.'s biggest test this year, but they have been here before and are used to tampa's game. the fact they have won 3 in a row means nothing to me. not like the 3rd game of a road trip, for example.

this alone should make the line a lot closer than 3, possible a pickem.

the dunn factor is another potential 2-3 points, maybe more.

correct line, in my opinion, g.b. -2. it should be a tight game, as usual, and i would favor g.b. +3 in a squeaker.

yyz.....I think you were smart in grabbing Green Bay at +3 IF that's who you like. I don't do a whole lot of NFL capping, but, when I do, I weigh in the public's view of the game and match it up with the line accordingly.
The last couple of days at my place of work, I did a little poll asking 20 big football fans, not alot of them betters, but big fans of the NFL nonetheless and 19 out of 20 picked Green Bay when they were asked who they liked to win the game. Now, this coupled with the Pack's 2nd straight road game after coming off Mon night, I gotta lean towards Tampa.

Just my opinion.

Good Luck to you this weekend.

husvus...agree with you, but it's just an angle I use. I use the public as a factor in betting...especially the NFL. Tampa is not a strong enough play for me, personally, just have a lean towards them if I were playing the game.
