ROAST OF THE WEEK
?Get out the dressin? cause this team is gettin? all carved up?
KANSAS ST. OVER BAYLOR BY 50
Since this roast has served up some indigestion the past 2 weeks I thought I would go back to a roaster that?s served up some delicacies over the past few years - the Kansas St. Wildcats. We continue to talk year in and year out seemingly ad nauseum, about Bill Snyder?s lack of humanitarianism when it comes to annihilating the weak sisters. Snyder?s Wildcats have already run roughshod over W. Ky., LA Monroe, & E. Illinois winning by an average of 54 points per game and have now covered 31 of their last 38 games as a favorite of more than 20. Kansas St. also shows no mercy on losing teams covering in an amazing 18 of their last 21 vs. teams below .500. Meanwhile the Bears are the perfect victim having failed to cover in 23 of their last 27 conference games & have covered but 1 of their last 17 conference home games! Fortunately for our roaster this week,
it?s a good thing that Will Rogers never met Bill Snyder.
KANSAS ST. - 56 BAYLOR - 6

? Maryland - Turtle?s covered every win under Freidgen (14-0)
? Kentucky - Cats have covered 8X as SEC dog.
? Arkansas - Hogs have not covered as SEC favorite in 3 years (0-6 ATS)
? Tulsa - Golden Hurricane?s have lost 17X.
? Arizona - Wildcats have lost the $ in 11X PAC10 home games.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS
?The slant on games in our neck of the woods?
AUBURN - 24 LSU - 20
Know what happens when you back a wounded Tiger in a corner? That?s what we have here in Auburn and one that plays with 27-14 revenge from last year. There?s bad blood between these two as Auburn players were taunted in the Bayou last year by LSU players & fans. The War Eagle never got off on the right foot in that game as they received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty 45 minutes before the game started (for congregating on the Tiger eye), were greeted with an onsides kick which promptly resulting in a quick TD, an ensuing romp and a berth in the SEC championship game. Now comes an angry wounded War Eagle off an OT loss vs. Florida, playing for a coach on a very hot seat without their star tailback. It?s an us vs. the world mentality that Auburn will take this week against an LSU team that is also without their star tailback or quarterback in this one. That means it?s a young QB making his 1st road start in a hostile environment at an early time for the Bengal stripes. Look for a wounded Tiger to spring the upset on the unsuspecting visitor resulting in a blue Bayou.

THE BARKING DOG
?This pup will bite!?
INDIANA OVER ILLINOIS BY 3
My how the mighty have fallen. Just a year ago the Illini, lead by all everything QB Kurt Kittner, were on their way to the Big 10 title. A year later we find the Illini at 2-5 and their trophy won?t bring scrap prices. Much of the tailspin has been due to the loss of a senior laden squad but also due to an inept defense that?s been had more often than a Havana hooker. The Illini defense has allowed an average of 200 yards per game both rushing and passing and will be exploited by a suddenly emerging Hoosier that?s covered 4 of their last 5 games. Two weeks ago Indiana
won at Madison vs. an opponent better than the one they?ll see today and last week outgained Iowa by 130 yards ringing up 481 yards of offense. With bowl aspirations virtually dissolved, a bye week only served to allow the Illini to think about what might
have been.
INDIANA - 28 ILLINOIS - 25
