What can I possibly say? I'm alive and I have finally received word that all my friends are ok. One of my friends was injured and in a hospital - but word has it that he is ok. I have emerged unhurt. My eyes still burn and it's hard to breathe, but I'm ok.
The whole thing is just surreal. I can't even explain what I'm feeling.
As for Nolan, he is absolutely right. The press doesn't cover what involvement the US really has. The attacks are in direct relation to our occupation of Saudi Arabia in 1991.
But what hasn't been talked about is our direct influence on Afghanistan. We armed the Taliban, we put them in power. We boycotted the 1980 Olympics to protest the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. We armed the Taliban to fight the Soviets for years - mostly by supplying the Pakistan fighters with weapons and trained the Taliban fighters. Apparently it has come full circle.

Believe it or not, I'm starting to look at the college games that are going to be played. They need to start playing stuff again, just for the sanity of those who lived through. I need to see something other than the crash and the burning rubble. Please play some sports!!!
